If you're on a budget, there are some surprisingly cheap lodge holidays in Derbyshire. With the Peak District National Park, rolling countryside and picturesque villages, you can explore this East Midland's hidden gem without breaking the bank.
Knights Lodges

Located in the beautiful Derbyshire countryside, Knights Lodges of Bretby is a collection of self-catering holiday lodges that are perfect for couples, friends and families looking for a getaway. They offer a range of accommodation options including one-bedroom, two-bedroom and three-bedroom lodges. They are decorated to a high standard and come equipped with everything you will need for a relaxing stay.

The family-run site is based on Shades Farm, near Burton-on-Trent. The eight deluxe lodges are surrounded by countryside views and are set within 14 acres of grounds. They were launched by the Willshee family, who also own and run waste management and skip hire company Willshee’s.

As well as being perfect for a relaxing holiday, the area is also a great place to explore with a variety of attractions close by. This includes theme parks such as Alton Towers, caves, castles, scenic gems, outdoor adventures in the Peak District to Chatsworth House and market towns.

Guests can also take a trip to nearby Burton-on-Trent to try traditional pubs and restaurants, or head to the cities of Nottingham or Derby to experience some city culture. The Peak District National Park is a short drive away as well, and there are many historic sites to visit in the area too.

These lodges are designed by Pinelog, a manufacturer based in Bakewell and they offer spacious light-filled centrally heated cabins with en-suite bathrooms. Each has a kitchen and living area, large decking areas and sunken private hot tubs on the patio.
