The Lotte club held the "2024 Rookie Family Day" event on the 13th to invite 2024 rookie designated players and their families to Lotte World Tower in Jamsil, Seoul.
The "Lukeys Family Day," held for the second time this year after last year, is an event organized by Lotte Holdings and Lotte Giants to congratulate rookie players and their families on joining, as well as to increase their sense of belonging and pride in the club. In particular, six senior players representing the club, including Koo Seung-min, Kim Won-joong, Park Se-woong, Na Kyun-an, Han Dong-hee and Kim Min-seok, attended this year. The event was held with an official welcoming ceremony, a visit to the founder's memorial hall of Shin Kyuk-ho, and a Seoul Sky Tour of Lotte World Tower Observatory
Lotte Giants owner Shin Dong-bin cheered the rookie players on their new start and delivered a congratulatory message to support them to become franchise players of the club. It also delivered gift boxes containing gifts to all new players and presented commemorative uniforms to their families.
Chung Hyun-soo, a second-round pick who attended the event, said, "I felt a lot when I went to the founder's memorial hall today to see the Lotte company and the efforts made by Honorary Chairman Shin Kyuk-ho. It touched my heart how much effort, patience, and hardship you went through from establishing a company called Lotte to establish a landmark called Lotte Tower. It was an opportunity that could be of great help to his career in the future. I also felt proud to be a member of Lotte."
Park Hee-joon, the father of fourth-round pick Park Joon-woo, the representative of the player's family, said, "I was moved by the meticulous letter of Shin Dong-bin, the owner of Lotte Group, the club, and each player who cares and cares about not only the players but also their families." Meanwhile, six senior players experienced the "Sky Bridge Tour" at the observatory Seoul Sky after the welcome event, creating thrilling and unique memories while feeling the panoramic view of Seoul from the high floors and strengthening their resolutions for next season. "Sky Bridge Tour" is a high-altitude attraction located at 541m of Lotte World Tower and crosses an 11-meter-long bridge closest to the sky in Seoul.
