The Asia Pacific Poker Tour (APPT), sponsored by Amaya Inc brand PokerStars.com , today unveiled the schedule of the 2016 Macao Millions and Macao Poker Cup (MPC) 24 in the "PokerStars Live Macao" poker room.

 

APPT President Danny McDonagh said, "We are entering our 10th season where APPT is very important. To mark this milestone, we are pleased to offer the largest guaranteed prize pool in history to Macau Millions and Macau Poker Cups."

 

2016 Macao Millions

 

Macao Millions, sponsored by Pokerstars.net , will return from Jan. 8-18, 2016, after a one-year hiatus. The HK$3,000 main event is expected to be larger than last year's record field of 1,804 participants, with a guaranteed HK$3,000 prize.

 

"The main event will be across six first-day flights, which are compressed to three days," said Fred Leung, senior marketing & business development manager at Fokkerstars Live Events in Asia. "While a format similar to the previous Macao Million events will apply, each first day will have two different tournament structures. It's an interesting new take on the poker series, which will likely break its own record this coming January."

 

The 9,000-dollar China Poker Championship also made its debut. Citizens of the People's Republic of China are off limits, and this is the first time PokerStars LIVE Macao will host a country-specific tournament.  슬롯머신사이트

 

Macao Poker Cup 24

 

Sponsored by Pokerstars.net , the 24th edition of the Macao Poker Cup (MPC) will kick off after the Chinese New Year from Feb. 19 to Mar. 6, 2016. The popular regional series will host 18 official Asian Player of the Year events, including the legendary Hong Kong dollar Hongryong Main Event, which features a massive guarantee of HK$8 million.

 

Many candidates for the MPC tournament will return, including the opening weekend's 2,000 Hong Kong dollar DeepStack NLH and 6,000 Hong Kong dollar Baby Dragon, as well as the 5,000 Hong Kong dollar Megastack (HK$500,000), the 20,000 Hong Kong dollar NLH (HK$1 million) and the 80,000 Hong Kong dollar High Roller.

 

The new additions to the MPC24 schedule are the HK$25,000 NLH and the HK$15,000 PLO, which take place on the second weekend of the poker festival. The MPC series holds the record for most unique players, with 995 players in Macau, and organizers expect to beat that figure at the next Red Dragon event.
