Hisuian Braviary

I actually prefer the Hisuian Braviary to the original. How about you guys? I painted this majestic bird on stream some weeks ago and I kept forgetting to post it.

I based my version mostly on the Philippine eagle. I think it's my favourite bird at the moment so I am biased BUT I think it fits, too.

I tried a different techbique with this piece. I don't know if you can tell. It's not a new technique, just something I haven't been using in a while. This technique involves more rendering by hand on one layer as opposed to fiddling with many shadow/lighting/adjustment layers.

I always found this technique more natural to me but fell under the assumption it takes longer and is messier Spoiler: it doesn't and it isn't. I think I will paint more pieces like this in the future. It's more fun for me.
