Novel stuff - the primary species! The anatomy for these guys is tougher to work out than it seems like it should be. They're not related to humans but rather are their own thing. Basically a species of wolf that has evolved to be bipedal and lives in a society. The shoulder and hip structure has been challenging to work out. Since this was intended as an anatomy reference for me, I started with direct paintovers from photo reference (Wolf.org wolf cam screenshots), and made adjustments until it looked about right and functional. So I think they look basically like this. They ended up with a lot of similarity to monkey anatomy Ї\_(Д)_/Ї Now that I look at it again, I think I probably have the ribcage extending too low here. I originally drew this about a year ago.
