The M85 SMG is Canis's version of the classic Colt 9mm SMG. It's primarily a mashup between Canis's M84 rifles and the 9mm SMG, using the M84 as the base. Interestingly, Canis had production of smaller 24-round magazines for their weapon, though the M85 is entirely compatible with the original 32-round magazines. As this weapon is based on the M84 in terms of production, it also uses the Quick-Detach system of sights, making this weapon more suitable for long-range engagements if necessary. This weapon has been put out of production in favor of Canis's newer style of marketing, with it being functionally replaced by the Fennec 9mm.
