Capitalizing on the success of the Sovereign Class, the Luna Class incorporates many of the former's technologies with several tricks of her own. With emphasis on the scientific arena, this mid-sized cruiser would spearhead Starfleet's return to peacetime roles. The USS Titan (NCC-80102) became a key player in Alpha Quadrant affairs of the 2380's, participating in numerous exploratory and diplomatic missions.
