Sometimes an animal walks up, and they just ask for you to take their photo. It's in the way their eyes will follow your every move, and indeed, how they will follow you and say: "Hey! Aren't I worthy of a photo, too?"

Sure, lovely, you are too. And indeed, such a cute face!

Species: Bactrian Camel (Kameel)

Latin name: Camelus Bactrianus

Originates from the steppes of Central Asia.

Current status: Critically Endangered

Did you know:

&The Bactrian Camel is by far rarer then the single-humped Dromedary Camel.

&Its population basically exists in de domesticated form, and is believed to be near to extinct in the wild, for whom certain authorities like the IUCN refer to with a different name, Camelus Ferus .

&The wild Bactrian Camel is able to drink saltwater slush, though its not known yet if they can extract useful water from it, where domesticated Bactrian Camels are unable to drink such salty water.
