As a byproduct of my Ludosaur project I created a kind of "blank" ceratopsian base sculpt that could be modified into various taxa. Of course while experimenting it I eventually stumbled upon something that resembled the Ferrucutus from Peter Jackson's King Kong (it appears for about a second in one scene, and for a lot longer in a deleted scene). Since I was already most of the way there, I decided to alter my creation into my personal take on the Skull Island creature. It is quite a different beast as I limited myself to plausible ceratopsian anatomy, so I named my version Siderodermus which has the exact same meaning as "Ferrucutus", just in Greek rather than Latin.
