There are countries in our world that do have this system. Where if you commit a crime your family for the next few generations also pays for it be it high payments, incarceration, or some other form of punishment. Some people who used to practice it were Germany's Nazi Government and Communist USSR Government while today you have it still practiced in some areas of the world like North Korea. Though there are also people who think that certain people still must pay for the crimes of their ancestors even today in one form or another.
