Preface

After Compound V was leaked into the world ordinary citizens began to fear Supes and what they could do if left uncheck.

To that end the people of Vought Industries sought to find a way to contain any super powered beings in the form of the Vought Securing Straitjacket or V-SS for short. A simple and yet effective form of restraints that disables all superpowers due to the lining of the jacket itself.

At say a hundred feet a Supe will begin to feel their powers weaken and temporarily disoriented while at ten feet the Supe will be as weak as an ordinary human being. Upon donning the straitjacket the Supe will quite literally be too weak to escape the straitjacket let alone captivity while specially made wireless batteriesplaced in the Supes mouth ensures the jacket never ceases to function.

Simply place a strip of tape or any restraint over the captives mouth and you will have a secured Supe guaranteed by Vought Industries itself.

Story

With the success of the V-SS Vought sought to tie up a few loose ends in the form of a spy within their super powered ranks.

The hero and young idol Starlight had been outed by a few disgruntled employees who admitted to have been blackmailed by the Super for some nefarious scheme. Quickly moving to subdue to the star powered individual known as Annie January was swiftly taken into custody while within the confines of the elevator.

Her superhero attire left intact due to the rather thin materials it was constructed from Starlight quickly found herself placed within the Criminal Variant. Its high collar design and thicker materials ensured that Starlight would be comfortable but contained while the noticeable Starlight insignia was placed at the same area as Queen Maeves own straitjacket in order to remind everyone who she is.

Completing the process Starlights captors placed the spherical battery into her mouth and sealed it shut with simple strips of yellow tape before taking her down to the basement for containment.

Now the original plan was to simply leave our dear superhero in a dark 4x4 closet but the good people of Vought Industries noted that she still retained some command of her abilities as evident by her bright glowing eyes.

Thankfully that was just about all that she could do but the researchers decided to keep an eye on their traitorous Super and improve the V-SS further.
