Originally this was planned as a remake of the oldest artwork in my gallery, 500 Years Later, which is now 13 years old. Looking for a suitable background I fell in love with the "dead coast" image set from photobash.org so I just _had_ to use it in a matte painting. Eventually I decided to focus more on the background instead so this completely new artwork came out of it, where I tested a four-point perspective for the first time. The viewpoint is now looking up and looking down at the same time which creates a really strange and twisted perspective.
