Natalia's Report

I didn't get paid enough for this. Go visit the Faro they said, it would be an easy delivery work they said. Place is infested with creatures that ambushes the merchants and i barely survived by the skin of my teeth. I still hold the item that i need to trade. I don't really know what's inside but i prioritize getting out of that wretched hive as fast as i can. Faro used to be a bustling settlement ripe with goods that is transported around the world whether it's antique goods, artwork or exotic food. Story is, one maiden ate an egg which she mistook as a chicken egg and begins to hunger for food and later transform into the abomination which now plagues the trench. The Faro have been sealed off tight by the local kingdom trying to fend off any offsprings that rises from the trench, The creature also responsible for creating this odd biomass that latches onto the rocks, buries itself with a sticky substance meant to trap anyone who touch it like a web. In the present day, The Trench is used as a place for illegal trading ground or a spelunker's heaven trying to get the riches that the Faro people left behind... I will inquire about being paid double later or i swear i'll smash this damn thing.

I hope you enjoy the painting along with the story that goes along with it.
This one is a bit different on Natalia's part showing more signs of her struggle through the weird world that she's been living in. Part of the world building is a wretched hive which is not as well guarded by the kingdom used for illegal trading or exploring along with some lore. Natalia might not be a strong fighter but she is definitely a survivor. Part of the equipment on her bag includes things such as projectile weapons such as bomb, survival knife, rope and other items that would help when she is in a pinch. I always wanted to see how Natalia would thrive in a horror setting and personally i think rather than making a character simply strong because they can do cool moves and punch hard, i think the idea that Natalia is strong through her smarts, pragmatism and experience. I know this piece is different but hopefully you would enjoy it, tell me what you think about it, if i should make more painting with themes such as this or just return to my landscape roots haha
