(I know I've uploaded this before, but I'm re-uploading to give a brief summary of each game and make an announcement in the process.)
Having finished my reviews of the Crash games, it's time to rank each game from worst to best based on my personal opinion:
(It should be remembered that it did not include the N. Sane trilogy and Nitro Fueled as they were remasters.)
- 19 - Crash Boom Bang!: Without a doubt the worst game on the list, which shows that Crash is not made for board games, and why an adaptation made outside its country of origin is terrible.
- 18 - Crash Purple: Ripto's Rampage: Another reason why Crash is not cut out for minigame themes, and certainly a waste of potential over a crossover with Spyro the Dragon by practically making a nerfed version of Crash Bash.
- 17 - Crash Mind Over Mutant (DS): Like Crash Boom Bang! The same problem occurs, little to do with the mechanics of its original version, when it is made outside its country of origin; the game seems more like a bootleg game by not taking advantage of the power of a portable console.
- 16 - Crash Nitro Kart (GBA): It may be that it has almost the same elements of its desktop counterpart unlike the previous post, although due to the limitations of the console the tracks and the soundtrack lose interest not to mention that the game ends quickly due to the relics and tokens they do not serve to complete the game.
- 15 - Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex: It is not very innovative when using the same Warped mechanics, but with less fluidity and an unnecessary amount of vehicles. I don't take advantage of something new compared to Warped like It's about time would.
- 14 - Crash of the Titans (GBA): Entertaining despite the low limitations of the console, true to the plot of the desktop version, even despite the changes, being better than the DS version of CMOM.
- 13 - Crash Twinsanity: I think some are exaggerating to say that it is the best game in the entire franchise, but I have to admit that the open world exploration, the soundtrack and new mechanics were innovative. Although for me it would have been better if the glitches and much of the content that was removed had been fixed.
- 12 - Crash Mind Over Mutant (Desktop): Improve on some changes from its predecessor, but if I have to admit that doing connected missions and levels without mentioning that going and going from one place to another is no longer related to a Crash game.
- 11 - Crash of the Titans (DS): Very good way to mix the mechanics of your desktop version with the mechanics of classic games. This would be almost the same to adapt a classic Crash game for a more advanced console to the GBA, although it does puzzle the parallel plot to the desktop version.
- 10 - Crash Nitro Kart (Desktop): Another entertaining racing game, but the same problem occurs with TWOC by reusing the same mechanics from its predecessor without adding a new element, and with fewer playable characters and tracks.
- 9 - Crash Bandicoot 2: N-Tranced: Very good mechanics were added compared to The Huge Adventure, but the only thing I did not like was that the relics do not serve to obtain a new ending of the game compared to other games, making this game shorter.
- 8 - Crash Bash: The only time that Crash was good in a game about minigames without the need for a board game like Mario Party, a very entertaining game with variety in its history, what I did not like was how difficult it is to obtain the relics and for so little reward .
- 7 - Crash Bandicoot: The first game where everything starts, but of course, the first is not always better given how complicated and frustrating the save system, and of course, the respawning crates.
- 6 - Crash Bandicoot: The Huge Adventure: Without a doubt a good adaptation in putting all elements of a Crash game on a desktop console, there may be fewer levels but it doesn't matter or at least not for me.
- 5 - Crash Tag Team Racing: Something of nostalgic value being my first Crash game, the truth is very innovative compared to the other Crash games with an exploration mode, a purchase system, skins, different vehicles, skins, minigames and other modes in the races. The only thing is that the game should have other elements of its predecessors in its gameplay, such as trophies, tokens, and races against bosses, apart from the fact that the large amount of crystals make the game easier.
- 4 - Crash of the Titans (Desktop): Another great nostalgic value for me, no matter the sudden change in the gameplay, it looks like a Sonic Boom that was done well, and I loved this gameplay of manipulating enemies of the game.
- 3 - Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex' strikes Back: Improved many aspects of the first game, adding elements for which Crash would be remembered later, although many find him his most favorite, this is my personal opinion, so another game is considered the best of the best.
- 2 - Crash Team Racing: Another good jump to the mechanics of kart games, distinguishing itself a lot from Mario Kart and without a doubt a very addictive game, it is not surprising that apart from the original trilogy this game deserved a remastering.
- 1 - Crash Bandicoot Warped: Without a doubt my favorite game and the first time I met Crash, adding the full mechanics that Crash will always be known for, I plan to buy the N. Sane Trilogy to play this masterpiece again.
Now I am going to give the notice, despite being announced exclusively for PS4 and Xbox One, there are many possibilities that the game will have a portable version for Nintendo Switch and PC, that is, we take into account that N. Sane Trilogy when announced was exclusive of PS4 and later it was portable to other consoles, the same happens with Spyro the Dragon reigneted trilogy. Although of course, I am aware that the IAT version for Switch will come out much later, at least a year, and if I will be prepared to buy the game and want to share my personal opinion about this game, but not having PS4 or Xbox but one Nintendo Switch and I have no choice but to wait for it to come out, what should I do? See a full gameplay of someone else's game as soon as it is released and take the opportunity to give my review while the game is trending, or wait for the game to come out on Switch to give my personal review based on my own experience months later.
