Raden is one of Japanese traditional crafting. Sliced shells are pasted. (Green and light pink parts) Originally, Raden is used urushi (Japanese lacquer) but I reproduced it with resin. The handling of urushi seems pretty hard. I learned technic of Raden in college but instead, I used oil lacquer that similar urushi. Because could be the skin gets sick.

Also, the oval part is one of the points in this work. I put in transparent resin various shining stuff. The theme is the contrast between black and shining.
