Not to be confused with bolt-action rifles, a Bolt Rifle is a fairly broad and generalized term I came up with to categorize mid-range semi-auto rifles that fire a 'bolt' of some kind, whether that be a bolt of plasma, a bolt of electricity, or simply, a bullet. They may be comparable to the general idea of a "blaster" type weapon from other science fiction works. So yeah!

1: M-2 Noble - The concept of a bolt rifle, that is, a medium range semi-auto rifle, is something the United Sovereignty of Nations has rarely utilized until now. After witnessing the reliability of this simple weapon concept in other alien factions, like the Supremacy and Protothan Confederation, the USN has started to manufacture a number of different models to fill this niche. The M-2 Noble is among the most recent designs and currently serves as the standard issue bolt rifle for all planetside military engagements. The rifle is simple and well balanced, with incredibly good recoil control, responsive firing, and decent stopping power per shot. Due to the weapons reliably straightforward construction, its very cheap to produce and easy to clean and maintain on the field. This makes it a great choice for Sovereignty civilians to own as a household defensive weapon, and many do, especially in these trying times. Though it is by no means perfect, the M-2 Noble reliable for a wide variety of missions, whether they be low to mid intensity, or short to midrange. For more specific statistics, the M-2 Noble fires 8.4x35mm projectiles in full semi-auto fashion with a muzzle velocity of 2150 m/s, drawing from a 40 round magazine. The weapon comes equipped with a simple 1.5x to 3.5x zoom sight.

2: MV-67 Mammoth Stopper - One of the older weapons still in service to the Sovereignty military, the MV-67 Mammoth Stopper is a somewhat unique weapon bordering between different classifications. While fully semi-auto and mid ranged, as bolt rifles are generally considered to be, the MV-67 packs an incredibly heavy punch and high recoil per shot, making the weapon somewhat difficult to control; this is contrary to a bolt rifles expected stability and user friendliness. Regardless, the MV-67 is more like a bolt rifle than anything else, and is categorized as such. The weapon is most ideally fielded in heavy weapons squads on close quarters missions, where its firepower can be utilized to the fullest and the caveats of its high recoil minimalized. The large projectiles this weapon fires are specially designed for cracking heavy armor. For more specific statistics, the MV-67 Mammoth Stopper fires 19.5x40mm rounds at full semi-auto with a muzzle velocity 2200 m/s, drawing from a 25 round magazine. The weapon comes equipped with a simple 1.5x to 2.5x zoom sight.
