Boss Monster Final Render

As I promised, this is the final render of my boss monster creature. If you want to know more about the creation of this creature, you can check my last 2 posts.
The body has been initially obtained from various images that were exported from the 3D software. I have built the lighting using layer mods such as soft light, hard light and multiply and using as masks the black and white images that I got from the grey 3D model. I have also painted the 3D model, exported the image and added it in my painting as a base to which the lighting layers have been applied. The result was an almost done creature that looked similar to the 3D model, with good anatomy, perfect perspective and so many details, all of which took very little time to transform into this illustration.
The task was not done yet, the image looked chunky and a but pixelated in some places, so I had to overpaint everything to make it look a bit less like plastic. I have first copied the face and increased it in order to paint it with extra detail. So the head from the right was the first done, I have used various images as well including caiman eye, leather, glass, fossil teeth and bone. Then I copied it into the full body and finished painting the rest of the creature. I have used here as well some textured, mostly snake skin for some little scale detail and a bubbly kind of skin that I forgot where it is from. Most of it was painted by hand using probably one brush or 2. The ground also was a picture or 2 which I put in order to make the place look realistic, but it wasn't very important so I covered most of it with dirty fog and dust.
