I indulged myself a little today and drew my nelfy, a happy shiny collector who lurks in city corners and paints with sticks. I was prompted to do this because of one of those "facebook memories", containing a bunch of art from two years ago- including a sketch of her. I often do redraws of pieces I did when I was much younger, where the difference is largely obvious. However, this time I wanted to do something a little closer, to show how much difference mindful practice can make. Both pieces were done in aproximately the same amount of time too.

I hope this will inspire my artlings (and any of you lot who want to pick up art but are too intimidated. Yeah, you, I see you there...) to keep at it!
