A few pics of my latest paper, wood and clay bird sculpture. This little guy is called a Black-faced Grassquit, I made him by carving a wooden body, fitting into his head some acrylic eye balls and clay eyelids. The legs and branch are made from wire and clay. All the feathers are hand cut out of 220gsm pastel paper, glued individually and lastly painted with acrylic paints.

Dimensions for the bird are 11cm from tip of tail to tip of beak and he stands 7cm tall.
