You know, I figure Papyrus wholeheartedly believes he's the one protecting Sans.
I mean, he's the one with the dream to be in the Royal Guard
He's the one who makes all the puzzles
Knowing how lazy Sans is, he's probably the one who cooks every meal and cleans every mess
Even if Sans is watching Papyrus from the shadows and exuding a huge effort to keep him happy, Papyrus doesn't see that. All Papyrus sees is how hard he's working to keep Sans safe.
They kind of rely on each other that way.
Papyrus does everything in his power to keep Sans productive, happy and safe
And Sans, from the background, does everything to boost his brother's confidence and defend his honor

It's kinda really sweet, y'know?

I dunno, maybe I've been reading too much in between the lines with these two haha. Anyway, this was fun. I see a lot of art with Sans being protective of Papyrus. Time for some the other way around.
