I got asked some times now how to draw characters from a distance which are really small and how to
put all the details in it. The good answer is that you don't have to put all the details in. The smaller the
object gets the more the drawing evolves to its basic shapes.
The eye is only a characteristic line with a blob then with no details. Strands of hair will be combined to
bigger shapes. Small thrills on clothes for example won't be shown at all or just are simplified to a shaky
curve or zick zack lines. If the character is built up from characteristic big shapes it would be very easy to
do so. If that's not the case like when the character is wearing just a white t-shirt you can place one or
two characteristic folds who accentuate the body gesture.
The more you simplify the more you can concentrate on the gesture of the whole figure itself. If the
gesture looks good it will also look good in its simplified stage :D (Big Grin)
