This is a recolor of my Halloween set from some time ago:

It doesn't include the wand.

This was specially asked of me a few months ago and I got to work. It is the secret project that I had mentioned on both my blog and Facebook pages, as it was ordered as a gift and I could not risk the giftee seeing it before it was time to unwrap. I am happy to report that the unwrapping was met with hugs and tears of joy!


It was absolute love for me to work on this especially with so few bead dresses being made this year, and not just because it's the same gorgeous pink I used for the underskirt of Princess Peach. The Mermaid dress pattern is likely my favorite to work with as the lines are so clean and smooth. All the beads do exactly as they're meant to. The Mermaid does, however, call for size 8 seed beads, which I don't normally keep in stock because this is the only pattern that uses them. Ah well!

Glass seed beads in size 11 and 15 silky-pink and black, with size 8 glass seed beads in black for the underskirt. The hat uses an antique crystal from a saloon chandelier I had to opportunity to tear apart for materials a few years ago. The Mermaid dress is a Japanese pattern, the hat is a custom pattern of my own making, and the bucket is from beadjewelrymaking.com/2009/pro… . The bucket itself has a large glass purple bead in the center of it to help it keep its shape. Right Angle Weave, Herringbone, and Netting stitches.
