Thing from last week, drew it at 11 at night when I discovered the project I thought was due the week after was actually due the next day at 8:30am. 4 hours of sleep was fun times. Got it done in like 2 hours so speed paint kinda I guess.
Well, today I was diagnosed with a corneal ulcer (haha I just noticed that the dragon was biting at the phoenix's eyes). It is not as serious as it sounds, but it is painful and I can't see very well. I am not allowed to wear my contacts, which is awful because my prescription is so bad. My awesome mom rushed me around all day to appointments and LensCrafters. Luckily I was able to get some glasses put together before the store closed. Bad news: art is very difficult. Good news: I can still draw okay. Hopefully in a few days my eye will start to feel better, but until then I will probably be uploading quicker sketches for my daily drawings. Staring at a screen is also a bit tricky, so expect slower/shorter responses to messages for a few days. Thank you! d

Another tricky skill to master in writing is setting description. Setting description is often the first thing that a reader encounters in a story, making it an essential skill to perfect if you want to hook your readers. To make matters more complicated, it is often difficult to calculate the right amount of description in settingstoo much or too little can either leave the reader bored, overwhelmed, or confused. Today, I'm going to talk about how to create engaging and appropriate scene descriptions that will best serve your story.
