This is my third AURYN so far Its so nasty to craft, but pure joy to see the finished results" title="Love" />
"The Neverending Story" by Michael Ende is one of my very favourite books of all time. The movies are...well no I never saw one, but I loved their version of Auryn
Its about 7cm in diameter, so its original sized. Its completely handsculpted from silver and golden polymerclay, then covered with a thin layer metallic pigments and protective varnish. The snakes eyes are painted in their opposite colors. In the book their eyes are green and red, in the movie they had no special color at all.
I originally wanted this to be a New Years picture, and I started it a little before the New Year but I never managed to finish it in time so I just held it off until today. 0: I really like how it turned out, and I had some fun with the background ;o;
I decided to share with you a photo of my last journey.
It was a cold winter day, close to the sunset. It's a part of a waterfall, that still wasn't frosen. And a small wooden bridge without any handrails and all covered by a snow. It was so scary to step on it, but I did it. The view on the other side was great " title="Heart" />
P.S. For my most attentive watchers, who always read all my descriptions under deviations: I drew a small winter dragon on a photo. Can you find it?
so, maybe some of you following me for a while now still remember her. i started with her reroot in january 2014 (yes, 2014! xD) and finished her repaint in june 2014. so it took me more than 1.5 yrs to finish that dress! omg, i am SO HAPPY that she's finally done! queen idun is one of my favorite disney characters. i know that she's "just elsa's and anna's mom" but i personally think that she's gorgeous! i wish we'd see her in different gowns and i really, really hope that she and her husband survived the storm!
i will post more pictures of her dress from front and back tomorrow, so keep following. <3
Something from my work again. It took lots of hours - it's my first dragon ever and also I'm not really good at enviros. I really hope that you'll like and don't mind something different from my usual style again. Full view pretty please
Inspiration: the 2011 movie Jane Eyre, which I finally got around to seeing recently and which has a pretty kickass musical score. Highly recommended to anyone who doesn't detest classical literature! lol
Part of a series. This photo is mirroring Come With Me To The Other Side. This time, the environment is brighter, but the way is leading into the darkness.
The last time I uploaded a photograph over here was.... a long time ago. Oh well - I purchased a new camera a while back, and I thought I could start uploading shots that I personally like. Not too often tho, so don't worry about that. I am no professional by no means - I don't know a single thing about photography and I just try out things and see if it appeals to my eye. So if you're up to giving critisism about the photographs taken by me, please keep that in mind. It's my hobby more than anything else.
The dog in the image is germanshepherd Mana, my friends dog. Gorgeus thing.
