Джордж Форстер (1817-1896) мастер натюрморта второй половины девятнадцатого века. Форстер талантливо изображал нюансы цвета и текстуры, фруктов и цветов на уровне элегантности. Его картины буквально праздник для глаз, представляют чисто визуальный восторг. Родился в Германии, а  в 1865 году Форстер переехал в Нью-Йорк. Там он начал выставляться в National Academy of Design, the Brooklyn Art Association, the Boston Athenaeum и the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. Его работы сейчас находятся в Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, the Columbus Museum of Art, and the Birmingham  Museum of Art, среди других известных коллекций.
