Сколько ни слушаю Iron Maiden, постоянно нахожу что-то новое. Вот и сейчас случайно натолкнулся на одну песню с последнего альбома. Что о ней сказать? На любителя. Длинная, много текста, много музыки...
Однако же вбивает! Хочешь, не хочешь - а вбивает в голову эти слова : "For the greater good of God!"
И вспоминаются почему-то не Святые и Верующие, а крестоносцы и инквизиторы. Только они говорили : "Мы поступаем так для блага! Мы несём величайшую Божью добродетель!"
И ни один не сказал : "Я в это верю. Я верю, что это поможет."
А ведь Величайшая Добродетель вовсе не в щедрости, невинности или всепрощении. Величайшая Божья Добродетель - это Жизнь. И воевать, и убивать за её сохранение как-то противоречиво. Да, есть вещи, от которых следует защищаться, есть вещи, за которые не жалко ни убить, ни умереть. Но вот за что можно развязать бойню? И стоит ли она того?


Итак, очередной шедевр моей любимой группы! ПОСЛУШАЙТЕ!
