Mr Ike Goldschlager Brighton Beach, Brooklyn ~February 20th 2007~

When we decided to go to New York, my best wish wasn't to see The Empire State Building but to see Brighton Beach, the Russian Jewish area of New York, in the extrem south of Brooklyn...
We went there and it remains one of my best memory of New York...
We were walking on the beach, taking pictures, watching baboushkas who were launching big pieces of raw salmon to the birds...when a little man approached me.
He smiled and asked me if I was Jewish. I answered: "No"...then he asked me if I was Russian...and I answered: "No"... :)
After we were speaking during some time and he explained to me that he was born in New York from Romanian parents, that he was living in Long Island and that he was working in the Insurance...
He had to visit a client but he loved to walk in this area which was fitting with his Jewish Origins.
When we left, he gave us his card and when I asked if I could take a photo, he was very happy...
See you soon Mr. Ike G.....:)
