Сегодня очередной раз повергло в уныние "похвально патриотичное" заявление сокурсника, мол, в английском языке мат совсем слабый и крутится только вокруг словосочетаний со словом fuck, а вот, мол, русский...

Имела неосторожность утверждать, что в английском языке их не менее 13-ти, за что была награждена злобными взглядами представителей русской интеллигенции.

Недавно сообщник yaroslav в пылу дисскусии упомянул о бедности английского языка матерной лексикой по сравнению с языком русским. Согласиться я не мог.

На самом деле, в английском языке мата нет вообще.

По той простой причине, что «мат» - понятие, относящееся сугубо к языку русскому.

А вот вариантов нецензурной брани, имеющих различное экспрессивное и смысловое наполнение, более чем достаточно. Достаточно настолько, что в определенных моментах фанаты великого и могучего могут быть жестоко разочарованы.

На помощь нецензурной лексике английского языка, которой, конечно же, нет, приходит эксперт с мировым именем по нецензурной лексике английского языка и всему остальному Дмитрий Юрьевич Пучков (он же ст. о/у Гоблин)

Относительно «всем известно» — это не ко мне. Это ко всем, кому известно.
