Let's make a bigger anchor with crochet :)

I spent quite some time to create this bigger anchor crochet pattern. If you like a smaller and simpler pattern, you can try to follow the pattern I uploaded in another article earlier. Today, I can finally share the pattern with you and I’m quite happy with that :)

I’ve decided to make this pattern because I’ve got a request to make a bigger anchor pattern which fits on a baby blanket. (I’m so happy to get some feedbacks, so I was really happy to receive a request ♡ ) If you follow the instruction below and use size H hook (5mm) andmedium weight yarn, the size of the finished work would be around 17cm x 17cm (6.7 inch x 7.6 inch). Of course, you can use whatever crochet hook you have and whatever yarn you would like to use! :)

This is how I use the applique. It looks good on my crochet bag :) ♡

Good on a summer bag

This time, the instruction will look slightly complicated (but not so difficult to follow), so I made a diagram to explain the pattern. I also wrote how to proceed the pattern in the picture just next to the diagram. For those who don’t like reading symbols, I will also explain in words. My tutorial “step” numbers are synchronized with the numbers written in the picture below. Well, let’s get started :D

Enjoy decorating things around you!! :D

If you have a blog, I’ll be definitely happy when you write about this pattern and your achievements. At that time, I can never be happier if it would have a link to my blog ♡♡♡

How to make a crochet flower pillow

Depending on your time and skills, you may prefer to purchase a knitted grey cushion to attach the crochet flower garden to. The pattern for the hand-knitted cushion (pictured above) is provided here.

Gather your supplies

Panda Magnum (100g): 1 ball each Colour 378 Orange, Colour 1002 Rose Sorbet, Colour 366 Hot Pink, Colour 1013 Cream; 4.00mm (UK 8) crochet hook; wool needle; store bought 60 x 60cm cushion cover or Patons Inca (50g) 18 balls Colour 7043; 1 pair 10mm (UK 000) knitting needles or size needed to give correct tension; 5 large buttons; 60cm x 60cm cushion insert

Tension: For Cushion Cover – 9 sts and 13 rows to 10cm over stocking st, using 10mm needles and 2 strands of Inca together. To work a tension square, using 10mm needles and 2 strands of Inca tog, cast on 14 sts. Work 20 rows stocking st. Cast off loosely. Check your tension carefully. If less sts to 10cm, use smaller needles; if more sts, use bigger needles.

Here’s how

(Seriously, one of my favorite resources.)

Our DIY wall organizer took a page from Dorothee Becker’s original inspiration: the fabric toiletry bag in her father’s drugstore. We used simple canvas and colored felt to create pockets for some of our many craft supplies.

photos by Max Tielman

Materials

Instructions

1. Cut the canvas (ours is 34″ x 23″), leaving a 1/2″ seam allowance on the sides.

2. Hem the canvas (or use a fabric glue) to create a finished edge and attach the grommets (using the kit) at the top.

3. Gather all the supplies you’d like to store in the wall organizer. The benefit of DIY is that you can make the pockets to size.

4. Cut your pockets, lay them out on the canvas and pin them in place.

5. Attach the felt pockets to the canvas using a simple whipstitch. If the pocket is intended for a heavier object, you’ll need the stitches to be a little closer together, and you may want to partially stitch the top of the pocket. (This step should be completed while watching a full season of a mindless comedy. Your choice. Mine was Happy Endings.)
