When A says "Hello!", B says "Goodbye!". And vice versa.

Пятница, 31 Декабря 2010 г. 01:58 + в цитатник
Some people recognize it in others. Some people recognize it in themselves.
Some people don't recognize it at all.

Person A comes to person B.
A: Hello!
B: I don't want you now. Go away.
A: OK.
*A is going away, B is thinking the situation over*
B: Hey! Why are you going away?
A: You told me to do so!
B: No, I want you with me. Come here, please.

What if everyone acts like a freaking person B?
It is way better to solve such problems more rationally. Try to get rid of person B in yourself if you have one.

Age: chronological, biological, actual

How old are you?
People would consider you wierd if you say this is an unspecific question.
Maybe that's just because it has a default meaning of chronological age.
Chronological age is the most useless ever.
Biological one at least gives some information about the state of your pysical body.
Actual age. Its name speaks for itself. The units of measurement for actual age are lives.
Yes, that's what is a major factor of the state of your mind. Much more temporary than just years.
Something like if you compare changes in your age in a 5 days period and 5 years period.
So, how old are you?..

"Good" and "Bad"

Пятница, 31 Декабря 2010 г. 01:44 + в цитатник
People use words "good" and "bad" about 15-20 times every day.
What is good? What is bad? Can someone give an exact definition of them?
"Good" and "bad" are adjective. They should describe something.
Is bread good? Yes? What if you have an allergy to some components of it?
Or you're on a diet?
No? What if you have nothing to eat except it?
Terms "good" and "bad" DO NOT CONTAIN ANY SEMANTIC LOAD.
They are created for small children (not in chronological age), so that things that "older" ones want them to do are "good" and vice versa.

Never say "never". Never say "forever". Never say "noway".

When do people usually say these?
About 95% of situations when these words are told the narrator is being under emotional affect.
That is why afterwards it turns out to be untrue. Does that count a lie?..
I don't think so. When one says "I'm drunk" having 2 promile of alcohol in blood this is true for that point of a current time line. In a half an hour it turns into a "lie".
Does it make sense?
Person A and person B perform some aphrodisiac actions. A tells that would love B forever.
The next day they have quarrel. And A tells B that will never contact him again. In a week A realizes that life without B sucks. Comes and tells "I won't lose you again! Noway!". Btw, A got married with C in about 2 months.
