Condition - Fair to Good condition. The paint is mostly intact and is in excellent condition in the centre floral area and in most of the border surround. The chart has been trimmed close to the outer grid lines but the designers name is intact and the number just about saved, although this corner is missing - see photos. | eBay!:

An interesting and very early original hand-painted Berlin Woolwork chart by T.P. Devrient who produced these patterns from 1818 to 1837 before being taken over by J.W.P. Trube. The study of a turbaned Gentleman, possibly from the time of the Ottoman Empire, enjoying a few moments of R & R is quite detailed with real, or imagined, decoration and good use of colour and shading. | eBay!:
