Туда в таком возрасте ещё никого никогда не принимали. В возрасте 14 лет Эшли с семьёй переехала в Лос-Анджелес. Она начала сниматся в сериалах и выступать в качестве танцора на концертах её сестры Джессики. Но мечта стать певицей ни на минуту не покинула её.
Эшли появлялась в таких знаменитых американских шоу как: "Мальком Посередине" и "Взгляд" пока её не приняли на постоянную роль в телесериале "Седьмой Рай". В 2003 году Эшли записала песню для фильма "Чумовая пятница" под названием "Just Let Me Cry". В 2004 она начала записывать свой сольный альбом в перерывах съёмок её собственного реалити-шоу.
