PS is cool and all but it's not exactly easy to use to organize a large amount of photos and edit them quickly. What I use is Adobe Lighroom, which is wonderful. It's an organizer and an editor like photoshop with all the manual controls you'd need, spot healing tool, straightening, levels, curves.... Just doesn't have some of the creative stuff.
All the softwares are too expensive, so you can just download a trial version adn then use a keygen to activate them.
