Everything is going as planned

 

The eighth episode of A Time Called You start with the genuine Yeon-jun studying for his CSATs with his friend Tae-ha (a cameo appearance by Rowoon). Yeon-jun keeps giving Tae-ha heart eyes and attempts to confess but loses his nerve. Tae-ha says he drives three hours to see Yeon-jun and asks him why. He seemed to want to say more but gives up after witnessing how ignorant Yeon-jun is.

 

 

Tae-ha borrows his mother's car for a trip to Busan, but Dramacool is anxious because he is a new driver. They keep arguing about everything, from the glove box to the map. Tae-ha inadvertently touches Yeon-jun's hand, and the two lock gazes. They hold hands and smile as their car collides with a truck.

 

 

Jun-hee receives a phone call and flees the convenience shop. Si-heon considers her as he paints a scenario of her running in the rain in the park. He pays a visit to Chi-won's new cafe and announces that he is applying to Jun-hee's university, despite the fact that she is a business major and he is an arts major. He wants to do whatever Jun-hee suggested until 2023 so they can try again to correct what occurred in 1998. He is now officially known as Koo Yeon-jun.

 

On the first day of university, he follows Jun-hee, who misunderstands and believes he wants to join her group. He almost cries up but keeps his cool. He promptly admits after a few moment of thought. She scolds him and informs him that she has a lover who arrives. 

 

He is depressed and the vivacious Chan-hyeong becomes his friend. He takes him on a group date after knowing that business majors will be present. Jun-hee, their waiter, chastises Yeon-jun for confessing to her and then going on group dates.

 

He mopes the entire time and then complains at Chi-won about 1998. Jun-hee never mentioned her ex to him. He becomes discouraged, but remembers what Jun-hee said. Yeon-jun was often around and even worked part-time at the same business as her, but he kept his distance. He never forced her to like him, and they grew close naturally.

 

He follows Chan-hyeong wherever she goes, which amuses Na-eun while irritates Jun-hee. He also starts working part-time at her restaurant, and she bets he won't last a day, yet he does.

 

Chi-won assures Scarred Guy that everything is proceeding as planned. Scarred Guy has a snapshot of the three of them. Scarred Guy encounters In-gyu, who is finally released, in 2006. Scarred Guy tells them as they drink that he was in a vehicle accident and that his legs are no longer the same.

 

In-gyu inquires as to why he claims he did not murder Min-ju. Scarred Guy claims that they both loved her, which is why he cannot believe In-gyu would murder her. In-gyu dismisses him as insane and departs. Scarred Guy returns home, carrying newspaper articles about Min-ju's murder. On the side, he has written that he will avert In-gyu's death, implying that he has traveled back in time to 2006.

 

Back in 2008, Jun-hee nearly changes her mind about Yeon-jun's stalker behavior when he assists an elderly woman. But he wrecks it by applying to her club nevertheless, aided by her lover, Do-hyeon.
