Out of the Ashes of the Berlin Underground Band Mortal Viruz,
Spawn was formed by Matt (vox), Olli (guitars), No. (drums)
and Chrille (bass) in 1998.
A year later the demo- CD «Headhunter» was released.
Early 2000, Hardy (Ex-Nuclear Tribunal) joined the band as
guitar player and Chrille (bass) left Spawn in August 2001.
He was replaced by Fux and the Promo- CD Veritas was
released. Finally the last member of the present Line-Up
bass player Alf joined Spawn in 2001.

The recording of the debut album «Systems Full Of Victims»,
which was released by Bruchstein records, began immediately
and the next step towards Spawns concrete idea of Death Metal
was taken.
The album was presented live at the «Fuck The Commerce IV»
Open Air concert in Neiden, Germany, where Spawn gained lots
of attention for their musical direction: Deep growls, a wall of
guitars and an incredible battery were kind of an astonishing
Death Metal assault.


This lead directly to the Blasphemy And Violence Tour with
Krisiun and Damnation in Germany 2001, where Spawn improved
their Show and took it to the level it has nowadays.

After several single Shows Spawn recorded the Split-Ep
Hybrid Manifestation with Berlins Harmony Dies in February
2002, which was another musical progression for the band.

In April 2002 Spawn toured again for four weeks in Europe,
celebrating The Art Of Sickness together with Cryptopsy,
Haemorrhage and Profanity; another big success for Spawn.

Alf split with the band in oct 2003. The next replacement
is not worth to mentioned it here. But then, SPAWN found
the right girl! Janice claimed the bass position. Finally a next
solid line-up was build.

Spawn recorded their devestating output Human Toxin
which was released in dec. 2004. Human Toxin is another
intense Death Metal statement of Spawn without any compromises
and you should expect nothing but a massive slap in your face
again! Lots of good reviews declared that SPAWN did it well.
After some deep grinding club gigs, Spawn entered the stage
of With Full Force Festival in summer 05. After supporting
Arch Enemy/Trivium in Berlin the band rejected itself writing
the final chapters for next output. After a refreshing break and
splitting up with Hardy the band raised the new line up completed
with Dirk on the second guitar.

In 2008 SPAWN entered again the DailyHeroRecord Halls for
their next upcoming CD «Reincarnated» which contains 8 Tracks
like " Seed of the Doom», «Nothing than to Kill» or «Under the
Blackest Sky»
In early 2009 Marc (ex-KADATH) overtook the deep tunes. After some intense rehearsals SPAWN is prepared again to spread out the vicious intense death metal.

We are back from Funeral Nation Tour 2010! Yes, we survived this

fucking crusade! This tour was really awesome, unbelievable! All venues
was heavy crowded and got a great atmosphere, every day! It was such
an experience for us to play in balkan countries like Romania, Bulgaria,
Greece & Serbia and to see that metal is united!

We wanna thank all fans out there for the great support! Respect! Also
thanks to Massive Music, Catapult Promotion & Twilight Rec. for their

The actual 4th album «dust» was released on Nov. 13th 2009 by Twilight Rec.! This new masterpiece contains 12 tracks of crushing Deathmetal straight in your face! Mastic Scum also joined the «European Tour 2010«with Marduk & Vader in January 2010!

The album was mixed at Grindlab Studio and mastered by Andy Classen (Belphegor, Tankard, Disbelief) in September. Artwork was designed by Killustrations (Six Feet Under, Kataklysm, Amon Amarth). We're pretty fuckin' psyched about it and can't wait to hear/see the final product. Stay tuned!

We are also happy to announce that our future home is now with Germanys label Twilight Rec. / Distribution (In Slumber, Disparaged, Koldbrann, Grind Inc., Requiem, Lost Dreams, Hatred). We needed a new record label and in the end Twilight won us over with their integrity. Scum ahead!


BAND HISTORY:

Without pandering to trends, or losing the thread, MASTIC SCUM continue to demonstrate their mission. The band was formed in the middle of the 90s and issued 4 albums and different spilt-releases so far. MASTIC SCUM, a well-developed four-piece from Vienna (Austria) is a true product of the thriving underground, a single-mindly focused band, creating raging heavy and aggressive music straight in the face!

Till now MASTIC SCUM was on stage throughout Europe, Turkey and the USA. The band did a lot of tours like the «Funeral Nation Tour 2010“ with Marduk & Vader, the «Grind Your Mind” Tour in 2006, “Scars Over Europe” Tour in 2004, «Straight Into the Balls Tour 2003” with Master & Lividity and some small tours like “Tortour 2002”, the “Fuck The Commerce Tour” in 2000 and the “Hang Over Tour” in 1997. The madness has started in March 1995 as a result of Morbid’s (drums) and Berth’s (guitar) sick ideas. Soon Egon and a guitarist Valdi joined the band, and the world groaned in fall ’95 when a vocalist Woyos came to the group. At the beginning the band was composing under the name MORASS, which was current to September ’98. After one year Egon left the crew so he was replaced by David. But no for so long, because after few months Blazic was ready to play. Finally after stabilization of the crew, the material prepared for studio devastation came into existence. In August ’98 in Sanok, the band recorded in Manek Studio a deb demo titled “Soulerosion”. Realization of that recording was occupied by Arek ‘Malta’ Malczewski, now cooperating with BEHEMOTH. Shortly before the session, Blazic bade farewell with the band so out of necessity bass was recorded by Valdi. After it turned out that there is a band in Czech Republic with the same marshy name, the band has changed the name into ETHELYN. The music included in “Soulerosion” is the synthesis of melodiousness, dynamics and aggression, wild connection of emotions with rapacity. The demo got glowing reviews as well as in official magazines and underground papers. It bore fruit of interviews, concerts and the presence on complications in Poland such as :”Blood To Come vol. 8” in “THRASH’EM ALL mag.”, “BURNING ABYSS ‘zine 4”, “Keep The Polish Underground Alive vol. 2”, “Horna comp.”, and abroad: “European Deathophobia vol. 2” (EARTH A. D. REC.) in Germany and ”Diabolical Serenade”, “Along The Sinister Path II” (MORTUARY KHAGE PROD.)in USA, besides the composition “Phoenix” for over few weeks was in the lead in playlist of French broadcast “Prelude Le’ Taufel”. The crowning achievement of promotion was signed contract with DAGDY MUSIC in May ’99. “Soulerosion” was released on the cassettes, which appeared at the beginning of the year 2000. In fall ’98 Nameless joined ETHELYN who took over the bassplayer position, and shortly was the third guitarist in the band. That pretty innovatory system kept not so long because co-founder musical obsession – Berth left the band. After an intensive searching there was found the guitarist – Les, who perfectly turned up in ETHELYN’s music. Bit by bit the material for the next recording came to existence, which was intended to be a full-scale debutant recording of the group. But before it, there was another change. Woyos – throat staff specialist – was replaced by Mysth, the youngest crewman, who brought in the new crazy look and much maniac scream. In August 2003 the crew supervised by Maciek Mularczyk (famous for close cooperation with KAT) recorded the expected for a long time CD “Traces Into Eternity”. In meantime the split-album ‘Hatred Complete”, including four tracks recorded during the session in Mamut Studio, appeared  as the foretaste of future hearings. You can find also four tracks of Nemrod band from Opoczno on it. In fall ..06 Salief took place of Les (bass) who unfortunately decided to leave the band. After year of rehearsals Salief is repleaced by Wrath. Now band is preparing for new recording session.

HAKEN are arguably the most exciting sound to emerge from the modern progressive movement. Formed in 2007 by three school friends Richard Henshall, Ross Jennings and Matthew Marshall (ex-guitarist), Haken is a virtuosic and eclectic progressive rock/metal band from London, England, comprising the country's finest young musicians. Having met the band on an online forum, keyboard virtuoso Peter Jones (ex-member) soon slotted into the line-up, bringing with him close friend and drummer Raymond Hearne. After acquiring the support of renowned To-Mera guitarist Tom Maclean on bass, the band soon completed a thirty-five minute demo consisting of three tracks, 'Snow', 'Souls' and 'Manifolds'.

In July 2007, Haken showcased their music for the very first time to a packed out London bar with a great response, followed the next week by a sold out show at «the best live music venue in south-west London», The Peel in Kingston. Within months of this double-debut performance, Haken were billed in support of Riverside (Inside Out) at Camden’s prestigious Underworld. Haken continued performing sets to packed houses throughout London and the UK during this time, most notably several sold-out shows at The Peel, as well as producing an additional three tracks for their demo, 'Blind', 'Sleeping Thoughts Wake', and 'Black Seed', the last of which featured on the cover CD for the second issue of 'Classic Rock presents Prog' magazine in June 2009.

In 2008, Haken received a massive blow in personnel and parted ways with Jones and Marshall, who went on to pursue other careers. It wasn’t long, however, before acclaimed Linear Sphere/Anchorhead guitarist Charlie Griffiths fitted the bill, shortly followed by gifted keyboardist Diego Tejeida late in 2008. In the last year, Haken have gone on to enjoy UK tours in support of cult metal bands King’s X (Inside Out), Bigelf (Custard Records), and To-Mera and continue to extend their fan base, as well as developing an eighty-minute epic concept album entitled ‘Aquarius’.

Early on in the writing process for the album, Haken were contacted by the Laser’s Edge group who later signed the band to their specialist progressive metal label Sensory Records, through which Aquarius will be released on TUESDAY 30th MARCH 2010.

In their brief existence, Haken are already highly respected within the British metal community, and their unique and imaginative genre-bending approach to music has garnered praise from all corners of the globe.

Just about the end of 2003, between Agropontino and the province of Rome, three lads start playing together. Their names are Fasano (guitar), Giorgioni (vocals) and Erkz (drums). Their first songs take shape (one only still appears, at least for the moment, on today’s tracklist: Silhouette) and the pursuit for a bass player begins, quickly to be achieved after the arrival of Gux in the first months of 2004. At the same time Giorgioni, who finds an excellent vocal support in Gux, also takes up guitar duties to thicken the wall of sound of what will soon be known as TSUBO.

At the beginning of 2005 the drummer Erkz is replaced by ThrasherDemo… the band leaves their old songs behind and starts composing brand new ones. After few months the four take up the name TSUBO and, despite the short repertoire, they make their first live appearances without neglecting the rehearsal room in anticipation of the band’s debut recording that’ll eventually happen in November: “Promo 2005”. The band still keeps on playing throughout Italy as well as composing and taking part in various compilations (“Spreading the sickness vol. I” on Mutilated Records; “Italia Violenta”).

After several delays due to force majeure, TSUBO manage to re-enter the studio in the summer of 2007 (this was meant to be in late 2006) and give birth to the first album “ANUS MUNDI”, eventually released in early 2008 on the historical SOA RECORDS.

At the beginning of 2009 is release a 4 way split with ROTTEN VAGINA 69, THE ANAL TREATMENT XXXPERIENCE and DISCOLONY on the Malaysian DEATH MUTT RECORDS and an e-mail say to the band they’ll play on the stage of the OBSCENE EXTREME FEST in july.
In the same time TSUBO record (D.I.Y.) some new stuff. In December is out the split with grindcore masters AGATHOCLES titled “PROGRESS OF CIVIL ANNIHILATION”.

During these years, TSUBO share the stage with bands like:

Unreal Overflows arise when Fran (guitars), Jorge (drums) and Pedro (guitars) took separate ways from their old partners, with the purpose of begin a new musical project. Soon they begin to work in new themes; at the same time they look for new musicians to complete the band formation. At the beginning of 2002, Victor takes on the voices and latter Zoilo join at the bass.

In summer of 2003, this line-up, christen Unreal Overflows, recorded in a local studio some of the themes they have been working on. The result: «Point Of A New Departure», a self-financed demo-CD of pure technical Death Metal, which was quickly promoted and distributed among fanzines and record labels by themselves getting more than good feedbacks and also received with great reviews everywhere in the world.

By the end of the same year, Victor decides not to continue with his project-mates, leaving the band as a four-piece outfit. The other components of the band decided not to look for other vocalist and Zoilo is who undertake the vocals work. This situation causes a delay in the appearance of the band at the stage.

In January of 2004, the band received an offer from Xtreem Music Prod., which was negotiated and accepted for the edition of the debut album in summer of 2005. Until then, the band has continued working in the distribution of the demo and preparing new songs for their debut album. It seems like the bad luck is over the band, since they had to put back several concerts along summer 2004 in response to different problems.

In August they received the confirmation of the dates from the SpaceLab Studio to record their debut album in the German studio. Christian Moos and Oliver Philipps did not hesitated in accept the band for recording their album, and they praise in a very positive way the band. Because of unexpected problems with the job of two members of Unreal Overflows (the band were still dogged by ill luck) the recording dates had to be moved from April to autumn, and the release of the debut album was delayed until the beginning of 2006.

In October of 2005, Unreal Overflows flew to Moers (Germany) for the recording of their first full length album in the Spacelab Studio. Produced by Christian «Moschus» Moos and Oliver Philipps (Everon, Ancient Rites, Wolverine, Avulsed) and mastered at MegaWimp Sound at Berlin (Callenish Circle, Avulsed, Resurrected), and with a first class professional sound, the new upcoming album of the band is the musical continuation of the style defined in their demo that so many positive reviews had received.

At the early 2006, the panel of the 18th edition of the international Pop-Rock contest «Villa de Bilbao» selected Unreal Overflows to take part in the second stage of the contest. The band competes with other eleven ones to win the famous European contest.

In May of the same year, Xtreem Music put out the first full length album of Unreal Overflows. «Architecture Of Incomprehension» is received with more than goods feedbacks, much above of anyone could expect from a first album. So, the band is focused on the promotion of –according to the reviews- one of the best metal albums of the year with shows over the whole country.

But at the end of 2008 both guitarist (Fran & Pedro) left the band, so Zoilo decided to change the bass for the guitar. In this moment, Jorge and Zoilo began to search for two members that completed the vacant places. Soon appeared Jose (Ex-Skydancer) joining at the bass with anxious, and Diego, taking the guitar to complete the band.

Formed in 1981, Anihilated are one of Britain's first and oldest thrash metal bands who played a vital part in the creation of crossover and early development of the British thrash metal scene. Their music is renowned around the world and has influenced countless numbers of musicians and bands who followed in their footsteps.

Anihilateds evolution from their early Punk roots, happened around the same time that Metallica and Slayer were breaking the brand new thrash scene in America.

After inclusions on various successful Punk compilation albums, They turned towards a much faster, heavier and metallic sound. Early gigs with their new material bemused their mainly punk audiences, as back then, most people had never seen or heard a thrash band before, and it was first thought that they were selling out. However, the realisation that Anihilated had not abandoned their ethics or social conscious, maintained their credibility within the punk community and they retained its full support while they continued to develop their heavier, thrash sound.

In spring 1984 they finally raised the funds to disappear into the studio for a week and emerged with what became known as the «Speedwell Sessions» which was their first actual release of Punk/Speed Metal/crossover. Positive reviews expanded the bands audience which saw a growing number of Metalheads attending their gigs. After another short period of creative writing, they returned to the studio to record and release their renowned «Path To Destruction» EP, an early example of raw, British, thrash/metal/hardcore. The EP completely sold out, even knocking Madonna off the number one spot in the East of England record charts.

Although their musical style had changed, Anihilated chose not to adopt the usual Satanic themes of metal, but decided instead, to express their punk ideals and beliefs of self empowerment and social justice. This set them apart from other bands, and drew followers from both the punk and metal establishments. Their popularity continued to grow, featuring in fanzines/magazines and bootleg recordings around the world, which secured a huge international following and cult band status. This, together with a number of high profile gigs, saw Anihilated achieve the recognition they deserved, and acknowledged as one of the main forerunners and innovators of Thrash Metal in the UK.

Their first full thrash album «Created In Hate», was described by Metal Forces Magazine as «the most important UK Thrash Metal release to date». The band spent the next year out on the road before returning to the studio to record «The Ultimate Desecration. This is widely regarded as their best studio album and is deemed by Marquee Records, to be «one of the finest UK Thrash Metal releases ever».

Anihilated had always been better known on foreign soil than in their own home country and their international fanbase remained strong over the years. In 2008, the mounting pressure from fans to reform became too much to ignore and so, after a 20 year break, Anihilated are back together again. The bands new album 'Scorched Earth Policy' will be out soon and they are selecting some of the prestigious gig offers they have recieved from abroad.

The Path To Destruction EP was re-issued on CD through Japanese labels 'In Crust We Thrash' and 'Aktiva//Protesta Rekordo'. All pressings completely sold out.

Chinese label 'Area Death Productions' have recently released a Chinese version of PTD, and a run of special limited edition box sets containing various Anihilated merchandise, for distribution throughout China and across Asia. The Created in Hate and The Ultimate Desecration albums were re-issued on CD in Brazil.

Anihilated feature in a new book by highly acclaimed British music author Ian Glasper about the history of British Hardcore. «Trapped in a scene» is published by Cherry Red.

NORWAY  YOU ROCK!!!

Hi all

Despite temperatures of minus 31degrees, we had the most incredible time in Oslo at the Metal Merchants Festival.

From the moment we landed, we were treated like kings. We were picked up by car and taken to the very fine Royal Christiania hotel, to chill out for an hour and then went on to the venue for sound checks. The crew, lead by Ronny were the most friendly and helpful guys you could wish to meet.
There were lots of laughs with the other bands on the bill and we made many new friends. 'Omen', we would love to take up your offer of more gigs,Stateside.

It was an absolute blast playing our set, the crowd were amazing, some had travelled miles across Europe to see us. Many thanks to Norwegian radio for the interview with the lovely 'Helle' and keep an eye on some of the Scandinavian music magazines for reviews and photo's. It was also great to hang out with the fans and share a few beers too.

On Saturday we experienced some of the Norwegian
culture at the Viking museum, and spent some time relaxing while looking out onto the frozen sea from the Castle.The best bar was the 'Rock Cafe' on Elm Street. Great food,beer and music.

Anihilated would like to thank everyone who worked so hard to make our visit an unforgettable experience,especially Stian,Ronny,Leif and Sigurd,for whom nothing was too much trouble.

Finally we would like to thank all the fans for such great, loyal support. We managed to speak with many of you over the weekend and we look forward to seeing you again on our return visit to Norway sometime in the future.. «METAL» !!!

Hey grinders

After nearly 13 years we decided to split apart with our vocalist Mesy Mario Mohamed Marian Meszaros. The reason is quite simple. He's been living already for several years in London and because of his recent 4 months away with us on latin tour, he has to work more now and is not able to fly to Czech for our shows as often as we would like to, not talking about rehearsals So we have with our wounded hearts decided, not to carry on such a sporadic cooperation, which only leads to our not very precise live performance when we all eventually meet up on the stage. We are not looking for any replacement, the other vocal killer Ondra is easily managing all by himself and we also can fit better in the car now, heh. But Onanizer was always about double speed vocal massacre, so it will be me, who will add some shouts and screams into our songs, possibly also bassist Kavron. Anyway, the biggest fucking cheers goes directly to Mesy for his longtime grinding in Onanizer! Amen.

This might not come as some kind of surprise the Grind Burnout tour is fucked. Despite all promoters have been informed lately i write this to avoid further misunderstandings. I've found out that there are some rumours about whats going on.

We have to cancel all the rest of the shows in february and march. Something like 20 gigs i have been working my ass off to fix. I started the booking in december, which was already way too late, but we really wanted to make this tour and i completed it about 3 weeks ago when i also got the infection First week i could not eat,drink, talk, sleep or even take my medicine. I had to go to the hospital a couple of times because i didnt know what the fuck to do. So we chose to cancel shows and keep the 3 last gigs on the tour.. unfortunately in my current condition I dont think its a very good idea to stress with this shit, and it would most likely only make things worse. Thats also seems to have been to most realistic and common opinion/advice.

I currently and since about 2 years back spend many hours each day to work with diy tours both for arson project and for my friends. And all of you should know that all we want to to is to tour and this sucks as much for us as it does for anyone else..

But dont think this would stop us, I just recently started to simultaneously work and make plans for 8 different tours in 2010. From 56 day minitours to bigger projects in the vein of Black Clouds Over Europe which we did last year. As soon as I confirm dates they will eventually be revealed. What I can say is that we are finally getting our asses out of europe! But so far, I cannot guarantee all of them willl happend though.

I'd like to give many thanks to some important people and good friends who helped and supported me until the very end to make this tour even possible from the beginning;

..Hi to all crazy metal heads out there!

#1: We're proud to announce that we'll be performing at German «Building a Force» festival in Bad Rappenau/BW on April 10th, 2010! View some more infos at www.buildingaforce.de and find nice bands like BRAINSTORM, LANFEAR or ROUGH SILK among the billing.

#2: We will perform at «Prog Power Europe 2010» in the Netherlands which will take place on October 1st, 2nd and 3rd this year in Baarlo. Of course we will keep you informed about on which day exactly we'll enter the stage!! Other bands at this event will be SACRUM, LEPROUS, OCEANS OF SADNESS & eleven more! Hi there!

I think it's time for a little update  we're working hard on the new CD and I can tell you some details now:

The title for the album will be «Death & Legacy» and we're working on a historical concept for the whole album. Nine songs are nearly finished now so there are only two more songs left to write for the limited editions (one for Europe/USA and one for Japan). The songs so far are really fantastic! Bombastic, speedy and there’s a great ballad as well ;) There will be some interludes and we're just working on the concept for the video clip. There'll also be an online single in advance but I can't tell you exactly when! The album will be finished in summer but we have got no influence on the release date! The promo-pics are keeping us busy too and within the next weeks we'll have a big photo shooting and I can promise you the pictures will be something really special and new  no boring pics showing five musicians standing in front of a wall

The next news concerning the album will follow quite soon, we'll have some guests on our new album as well  so have a guess =)!

Please be patient and we'll do our best creating a real masterpiece!!!

We R. M. are new «allgrind» ensemble coming from C.R. arised from some old remains of C.T.. We don..t strive to find some unheard, unseen and untasted kind of music  we just wanna play our grind core properly and on its best!!! As G. C. is generally one of the fastest ways of playing  whole the process with us had to be as fast as possible as well. It means a few facts:


01) we got together in November 2006

02) we spat 3 earliest sonx

03) we found the band name

04) we changed b-assassin player

05) we were continuing with playlist posing.com

06) we are in new year 2007 and book the dates for recording studio and debut live
performance

07) we finished the stuff and underclassed it in Shaark s. in early of April

08) we played our first set on 28.04.07/9:139:40pm together with A.G.r. and C.T. in our home town Ostrava

09) we made ourselves the shots for videoclip in one fitness gymnasium over here just day after

10) we prepare for releasing our split CD with O. in June ..07

11) we got chance to play on the greatest hard ..n .. heavy session in Central Europe  B.A. and we experienced it there on A stage  in 2007 August 9th  since 3pm

An «oath to vanquish» - a vow to obliterate any kind of obstructing defiance.

Oath to Vanquish is a 3-piece death/grind band from Lebanon, a small place on the Mediterranean sea with a multitude of cultures and a rich history. Founding members Elias (guitar/vocals) and Carlos (drums/vocals) had taken part in several bands since 1992, but in Nov. 2001 they decided to create a new musical beast that would push their songwriting and musicianship skills to a totally new level. 

OTV played their first gig in Feb. 2002 in Amman, Jordan , delivering a crushing set to an unsuspecting and nascent scene. The band followed with a string of performances which quickly earned them notoriety around the Lebanese underground.

When Joseph departed in 2003, Cyril (bass/vocals) joined the band adding an extra dimension to the sound by incorporating bass melodies and fills, as well as the most inhuman and monstrous guttural delivery!

The band spent a further 2 years crafting and rehearsing their compositions in preparation to unleashing them to the world. The fruit of their labour comes in the form of their debut album, «Applied Schizophrenic Science», which spawned to life at Mad House Studios, Lebanon. Mixing and mastering was handled by Colin Davis at Imperial Mastering, which has helped to deliver crushing production values that do justice to the songs.

Lyrically, the album tackles many social and political issues, often handled through the veil of allegory and unsettling imagery, the main theme however being an account of the frightening physical transformations that an extremely disturbed mind can engender upon itself and the inevitable ensuing carnage!

In early 2006, the band signed a worldwide deal with Grindethic Records, this type of international collaboration being a first on the Lebanese scene and a further testimony to the band's far reaching potential and talent.
