Cryptic Tales was founded in 1989 by Piotr Kopko (guitar, vocals) and Jaroslaw Maciuszek (drums). Then Dariusz Gibalewicz (guitar) and Witold Zawdzki (bass) joined the band. After two years of rehearsing the band decided to record their first demo tape «The Sign Of The Southern Cross» (1991). This tape was appreciated in Polish underground metal. In 1993 the first official record «Anathema» was released by Carnage Rec. At that time it was claimed by many reviewers to be one of the best and the most original death metal productions in Poland. On «Anathema» one could find fresh ideas such as various musical instruments being used. At that time the band did a lot of gigs, sharing stage with the biggest bands in Polish metal. In 1994 Cryptic Tales recorded their next mini album «Valley Of The Dolls» (Gamma/Croon Rec. 94), a controversial release, which, despite of some originalities like mixing brutal music with flute, was not acclaimed. After the realse of «Valley Of The Dolls» there was a line-up change. Witold Zawadzki left the band and Mateusz Bernardyn took his place. In 1996 another full length was created and entiteled «The Tales» (Croon Rec. 96)


A moment later «The Tales» is being remastered and rereleased by German Awaken Prod. After that Maciej Motyka exchanged Dariusz Gibalewicz on the guitar. After the release of The Tales, the band played many gigs mostly in Poland and Germany. «The Tales» made Cryptic Tales one of the biggest bands in doom-death metal genre. At high tide of their career the band unexpectedly stopped their job. Cryptic Tales was one of the most original and acclaimed bands in 90's Polish metal music. It was applauded by metal maniacs, appreciated by record labels and media. «Anathema» and «The Tales» are the pieces of music which can be given a cult status. After seven years of silence the band has begun to rehearse. The line-up has been: Piotr Kopko (guitar, vocals), Jaroslaw Maciuszek (drums), Mateusz Bernardyn (bass) and a newcomer Jacek Fall (guitar). The new material has been composed and the new style has been created. The effect of the band's hard work is entitled «VII Dogmata Of Mercy» (Empire Rec. 2008). In the meantime Bartlomiej Filipinski (keys) joined the band.
«VII Dogmata Of Mercy» is an acclaimed album, receiving roper feedback in
Polish media. It is also approved by fans so the first Cryptic Tales video; Towards Modern Darkness is produced (ZWELLINDER GROUP '08). Soon after the band decides to come back to the stage, supporting Samael in Cracow (Loch Ness' 09). In April 2009, an American label: CRASH MUSIC rereleases «VII Dogmata Of Mercy»

THEIR HEFTY GUITARS AND THE GERMAN LYRICS, AT THAT TIME MORE THAN UNUSUAL, WERE AHEAD OF THEIR TIME. Так что мы здесь имеем  Первый трек – “Purgatory” – злостный black death с отменной поддержкой клавишных. Второй – всё тоже black / death рубилово. Очень вкусно.
Мне напомнило старый добрый immortal. Помните их восьмиминутные опусы времён «At The Heart Of Winter»? Правда здесь треки не по восемь минут, но такая же эпичность присутствует. Отдельное спасибо за пятую вещь In Immortality  Тотальный мрак и тьма !!!

Итак, на разделочном столе, группа из Ирана  Ahoora. Что можно сказать о команде?
  Играет металл, который очень трудно втиснуть в стилистические рамки. Просто металл. Из особых отличий можно выделить виртуозную работу металлиста, такой «жирной гитары» мне слышать ещё не доводилось. Отдельное спасибо вокалисту. Ahoora, was formed late 2001, in Tehran, the capital of an extreme Islamic country called Iran. The influences were shown in the early covers: Iced Earth, Iron Maiden, Metallica, and Black Sabbath etc.The band recorded its first demo tape back in 2004, due to gain permission from the culture ministry of Islamic Iran: breaking the broken!

In May 2005 Ahoora played its first official gig, the first metal performance ever with vocals parts in Iran. The band played two sets, First: Iced Earth songs & the 2nd set included four Ahoora songs that later were heard on the debut album. Ahoora was forced to cancel the second night though.

February 13th 2006, saw the self titled debut album came out as a forbidden release in Iran. Although the release can be analyzed as a unique event in Iranian music scene, the foreign feedbacks have always been stronger. Ultimate Metal called it «hard-hitting, true heavy metal “, while The Metal Observer wrote “They are walking a very fine line, very fit on their instruments».

The band experienced some international critic and also was invited to play at Evergreen Music Festival in Washington D.C; missed because of the strict exit laws. The late concert in support of the first release was cancelled by the authorities in September 2006, left no chance to perform the whole length album for the fans and made “Ahoora” a completely banned act. Throughout the recording of the second album, the band missed the chance of performing at ’07 version of famous Metal Camp. The idea was shut down thanks to the Exit laws of Iran.

”All in Blood with You” came out September 30th, 2007 which has been a major step forwards in many ways, as The Metal Observer believes: “they are back with «All In Blood with You» and they have definitely made a big step forward in many ways”. Ultimate Metal called it “an incredible release that everyone should check out” while Progressive Rock&Metal described it as “A surprisingly quality metal masterpiece”.

Within 2008, Ahoora continues its journey with new compositions and a new hard target added: Immigration

Czech band AAEN ANIMA was found in 2002. From album to album Aaen Anima tried to create always new musical forms; from progressive doom and brutal subfolk/jazz fusion through avantgarde with clarinet, electronica with mandoline to raw black-thrash-death-core and so on. No drums have been used ever. C уверенностью можно сказать что на новой епишке Fuck the facts свели к минимуму старый noise grind. Треки нафаршированы элементами mathcore'ом, brutal death metal'ом crust панком и грайдкором. Звук напоминает французский коллектив Zubrowska из-за обилия mathcore фишек, по крайней мере первые 3 трэка. Четвёртый – чистой воды brutal death metal в стиле suffocation, Nile … даже мелодические вставки есть. Грайнд элементы присутствуют на всех трэках (кроме четвёртого) что очень радует. Так же отметим, для тех кто ещё не знаком с творчеством этого замечательного коллектива – вокальные партии на всех дисках а их не мало (см дискографию) исполнены нежным женским голосом (см фото). Это добавляет Fuck the factsбонус баллы )))

Давненько мне не попадалось столь классных трибют альбомов. Из неповторимых, помню Морбид Энджелевский scream forth blasphemy и каркассовский requems of revulsion. Итак, звук выше всяких похвал. Я натурально приторчал от него. Такого «впечатающего» в диван звучания ещё поискать надо!!! Теперь о подборке команд. Их целых 53!! Из них до нашей глуши дошли, на сколько я знаю только Total Fucking Destruction, dead infection, Rompeprop, Mastic Scum, Nyctophobic, Infest. Остальные группы достать невозможно. Но всё же истинные фанаты грайнда найдут их чтобы это им не стоило. Основной упор в выборе композиций делался на альбомы Human 2,0 и Inhale / Exhale. Что ещё можно сказать? Такую дозу грайндкора выдержат только стойкие грайнд маньяки, остальным же это будет явно не под силу. Я вот выдержал, чего и вам желаю. Но после такой атаки на мозг рекомендую, послушаю Soul Asylum для реабилитации нервных клеток.
