I am a bleeding heart, too :) Your mom wouldn't take the kitty? Maybe you have some friends, who would... I would definitely adopt another cat, but my own cat is so hostile to any animal coming to the house, that I'm honestly afraid for that animal's well-being :((( Once she even attacked a pitbull, and the dog ran away scared O_o

oh, it is so true... attitude towards animals is a very good indicator of what sort of person is in front of you...

that's why i am so happy my husband loooves animals... in fact, everytime we went into a pet shop we ended up bringing someone home: kitten, hamster, parrot... they are so lovely and sincere, the animals... they can never be double faced, chicky and cunning, maybe, but not double faced like people sometimes...

NewLunatic, She is afraid our dog will not take well to the new kitty.
I have the same situation with my cat. I cannot bring any more cats intro the house - he attacks them. And he also chased a few dogs around...and tried to attack a horse. :)

gurrat, yeah, my ex-husband really took to our cat after a while. But still...he's not as crazy about the kitty as I am. :)I am a true "cat woman". :)
