She uses two sources of vetiver in Encre Noire, Haitian and Bourbon. The Haitian vetiver I have come to know has a quite prominent smoky character. By blending the two versions Mme Lorson tunes the smoke to a soft level. I used to burn pine needles as a boy and whenever I wear Encre Noire the smoky nature reminds me of this. The Bourbon vetiver brings a spicy complement to the Haitian smoky version.
The dilemma that still lingers in my mind quite a curious one. I feel that Lalique wasn’t sure who is an ideal customer of this perfume and its whole line. While I’m familiar with Extreme for a relatively short time, I that already known the original DNA for years. I understand the whole praise and all the accolades this line has received.

If there’s one thing I like the most about the perfume, it’s the presentation. The bottle is pure work of art and possibly the best-looking perfume bottle ever created. Andrew with his wife Jennifer, returned to the USA once again in January 2016 to help present Can-Do Musos at The NAMM Show 2016. While there, Andrew also participated along with 400 others at the Remo NAMM Drum Circle, which was hosted by the legendary Arthur Hull. He also did a photo shoot for Vic Firth drumsticks, which has led to Andrew's own aritst page on the Vic Firth website.
