Unfortunately, all too often, we get those unwanted guests that wreck havoc on our summer fun. But don’t fret, because I’m sharing some summer pest control and prevention tips to help keep those pesky bugs at bay. I’ve partnered with Wil-Kil Pest Control for this article. Are you getting fruit flies even after you've eliminated them? The source of your problem may be your drain. Place plastic wrap over your drain, keep it there for a handful of days, and see if any flies have begun appearing. If you see some fruit flies, boil some water and pour it down the drain or use a drain cleaner. This is the best way to get rid of fruit flies.

Don't wait for a pest control problem to become an infestation; call a professional or take action on your own immediately. You might think that just because you've only seen one or two or that you don't see them often there isn't a big problem. Do something fast or you can expect big problems later.

Store flour, cereals, sugar, and other dry goods in sealed plastic, glass, or metal containers. This prevents invasions of pantry moths, weevils, ants, and even mice in your kitchen. Do not count on cardboard or other flimsy packaging to keep pests out. Mice can chew through them, and insects can penetrate tiny openings.

Try to reduce the amount of cardboard boxes that are lying around your house. Pests love to hide in and around these cardboard boxes, and will multiple if you leave them there for a long period of time. Take this precaution if you want to save a lot of time and money.
