Today we went to Safeway – Yepa’s first shopping trip. You have done a lot of practicing with the wheelchair and it showed! Yepa was checking in with you really well, and she was much more focused and well positioned with the wheelchair. She negotiated narrow corners and spaces very well, and was able to enter and exit the store without too much difficulty. She ignored the merchandise as she walked down the aisles, and even when she passed the meat counter she was very attentive to you and didn’t sniff or wander away. She waited in line at the pharmacy counter quietly, and ignored other shoppers.

All in all an excellent outing! Anton, you handled her very well, keeping up an appropriately high rate of reward especially in more distracting environments and spacing out the rewards when it was easier for her. She was responding well to your voice, almost always looking to you at the sound of her name.
