I decided to follow one of your recipes (may be more).

I'm sorry for question about Russian. I was really relaxed without of any nationalism in the USA last years and little bit forgot that simple questions could make opposite not pleasant effect. Shortly! When I've read your Diary with care I've understood fault of my question.
I was going to tell you only with this question that in Russian you could attract significantly more attention to your opinion at the site and that's it.

When I was talking to you that all of your еxprеssiоns are truth I didn't finish. Hopefully you would be agreeing that every truth is not complete, and some times additional filling of the "truth" jar could invert final effect and attitude to what it is the final picture. I think that truth is what are we seeing objectively in frames of our limited vision. It is not yet just whole subject.

It seams to me, I understand what do you mean writing so aggressively about Li.Ru. community. When I entered the MSN L. A. Chat room before my arrival in Los Angeles I thought I'm in hell. But believe me real Los Angeles does not create this attitude in reality. There is Russian sentence: "Every Joke includes part of Joke". Personally I do not think at least that Li.Ru is worse than any other similar site. May be it does not meet your expectations only (mine too). Some times I should call it as hell too, but if you are Orpheus looking for your Eurydice you have to be patient and ready to follow in Hell. It's even if your Eurydice is some "truth" but not just woman.

If you really expect that most of Russians in Russia and just at this site really hate Americans, it is not truth, I'm sure. They are absolutely same like you. All of discussions do not reflect objectively the situation. I should be ready to argue with you about that. I have my personal statistics for this topic. So you could ensure through out this factor and put down your arm prepared.

Talking objectively about your opportunities at this site, I think that in English you have chances to get some attention. Did you visit the Diary of eddieusa2? People looking for fun like you but in native language environment will not stop at your pages you understand. Otherwise in Russia more people know and are strengthened to learn English than in USA towards Russian. So you have chances for all of you expected: " i fugured that I`m here to be entertained and have fun. And it`s up to me to find and enjoy it. So whatever I deem ludicrous and stupid, I pass it emotionlessly. In case of a brilliant idea, funny writing, eye-grabbing photo, I sponge it up."
Time by time you will have gotten it, I think.

Finally I could say that you have got several interested persons here: several fine ladies and me. Other is up to you. Let me to return your fine recipe back (see quotes above) to you.

When I've read your Diary with care I've understood fault of my question.

I don't see anything wrong with it.

I suppose you're rigth on this one. However I don't feel like writing in Russian; second, as I said it's easier for me to get it down in English. Third, most of the jokes I post I heard in English, and I don't want to change them.
Fourth, some people here learn English, some would like to learn English and by giving them some quality jokes and essays I'm helping them to nail it down.

Hopefully you would be agreeing that every truth is not complete, and some times additional filling of the "truth" jar could invert final effect and attitude to what it is the final picture.

Personally I do not think at least that Li.Ru is worse than any other similar site. May be it does not meet your expectations only (mine too).


Paraphrasing a well-known quote [by JFK], I'd say
"It is not what Li.ru can do for you, it is what you can make of li.ru" :)

If it doesn't meet one's expectations, change expectations, Li.ru can be a curse or a virtue, depending on what you make out of it.

Some times I should call it as hell too,

I actually believe that it's the Limbo :) Neither here not there, sort of a cleansing place :)

I don't expect that. and I don't think so. There are just a few of those. What I find in abundance is the mediocrity. it's everywhere. But hey, it's up to us not to notice it, right?

Dealing with your "excellent" English, Li_Ru is not best place for studies of English. It's even with you, sorry.

Fine.. I think it's again what you make of it. If you grudge and say it's not the best way, well. so be it. But if you say "Hey, I have a question for you....", then you [and probably I] will learn something. Wouldn't it be great!

It's all abot the approach and the attitude you choose to follow.... Easy-going and carefree or resentment and getting upset too quickly...

Now I've reminded one my story. I've sent funny picture to Director of our Human Resource Department.


I'm in the Molecular Biology Lab of big company. He didn't replay anything. I asked:
Did you receive it? Pat! Did you like it?
He just has accepted into the position of secretary very fine 18-19 years old girl. And he told me:
You know it has two ways (this picture): one is clear but other... How is it possible to leave sample of DNA with secretary?
You know, I didn't start to explain that every day I process a lot of DNA samples and it doesn't mean that I make sex with every donor. Simply I've known that our Human Resource Department is obviously not Humor Resource Department.

I`m sure that it's most naive idea - to change somebody or something in society corresponding with our wishes. We have to accept the World as it is or leave it.

Completely, utterly and absolutely disagree. Only an individual is capable of changing something. Another thing that it might take a number of such individuals to push a major change, but small changes in one's own life are not only possible, they are your responsibility.

In each societal advance you can identify a single individual who came up with an idea, made it know among peers and pushed for the change.

If you accept the world as it is, you accept other's wishes and interests imposed on you regardless of whether you like it or not.

Only our patience and good attitude to people can change something towards us.

Patience and attitude are the virtues, no doubt about that. But they aren`t the only qualities one needs. You need preseverance, pragmatism, common sense, and bunch of others...

I`d dissent. I wouldn`t like to work with stupid scientists, it would be waste of resources, my and their time.

Sure.

Could be so.. That`s where you need to change and start taking looks :)
