Puerto Muerto is Tim Kelley and Christa Meyer, a husband-and-wife duo that makes strange and beautiful rock music. Tim plays guitar and other stringed instruments; Christa often abuses a small drum kit. Both write songs and sing, Meyer with a startling, classically trained mezzosoprano-to-alto, Kelley with a reedy, evocative baritone. Their influences include Ray Davies, Gustav Mahler, the Clash, Kurt Weill, Dr. Dre, and Gьnther Grass.
