Married children should have moved out long ago... But I understand that income and availability can play a big part in these decisions. For privacy and independence living separately is best. Two women living under the same roof rarely makes for a happy home, in my experience.
Jelllyjam, for those who study at the university the situation is different if they still live with their parents but not in the hostel.
My parents helped me a lot during my studies... I couldnt cope without her. But when a student lives in a hostel, it's easier to become independent,I'd say.
