In Fuzzbutts, many (though definitely not all) marine animals have evolved to navigate life on land...sorta. Fish in FB are largely non-sapient and non-anthropomorphic, just regular fish swimming about in the ocean....save for sharks, of course. Sharks are a curious exception, thought to have evolved limbs/intelligence to follow right behind their mammalian marine prey (eg. dolphins) as they themselves began to exit the ocean. Most marine animals have stubby limbs, and as their movements can be rather graceless, getting around can be a challenge. The fight for accessibility and accommodations is never-ending, though most large cities have established rudimentary aqua tubes for marine citizens to get around comfortably, as well as constructing indoor ponds, pools, and fountains for sea critters to keep themselves cool and hydrated. Many marine critters also opt to spend large periods in the beautiful, vast underwater cities within the ocean.

Katie is a cheery great white shark with a smile like sunshine. She is currently attending zooniversity on a swimming scholarship. All sharks are built to swim, but it still takes intense training and practice to become a professional swimmer like Katie. Kinda like how most humans walk every day, how evolution literally shaped us to be long distance persistence predators (early humans simply ran their prey down til it collapsed of exhaustion), and yet most people are not track stars without years of training. Katie is graceful, powerful, and frighteningly fast in the water. Imagine being chased by an underwater torpedo with teeth, and you have our dear Katie. She is a marine biology major, funnily enough. She can't help it! The ocean is beautiful....though she supposes living on land has its perks too.

Great whites are one of the most feared carnivores in the world. After all, Katie can bench-press a pickup truck and leave bite marks in solid steel. Shork is STRONG. But Katie would never! She's the kind of sweetheart that would make you soup when you're sick or bring over class notes for you to copy, all while remaining woefully oblivious to your terror at her toothy grin and scary doll eyes. Get well soon!

Cass is Sunny's (adopted) younger sister, and Katie's very best friend. She is our Cloudburst expy. At the start of their schooling, most marine kids are paired up with a partner to help them with living on land. Cass was matched to Katie in first grade, which explains their bond- it is very, very rare for seals to want to be anywhere near sharks. Cass helps Katie stay hydrated, while Katie helps keep Cass (a teeny furry cold-weather animal) from overheating. Cass also helps ground Katie when she has panic attacks (poor shark can be quite the worrywort), and Katie will physically carry Cass around when she's deep in a depressive funk. Friends since childhood, they've grown from guppy buddies to sorority sea-sters.

-Cass is an art student and likes to draw and distribute zines around campus. She's gained some mild popularity from this.


-Cass had an...interesting time growing up in a family of land-dwelling canines. For example, as she didn't meet other seals until college, Cass spent much of her life awkwardly trying to swim the way her golden retriever parents had instructed her- the doggie paddle. While Cass loves her family, she can't help feeling like, well.....a seal among dogs, no matter how often her parents call her their adorable mermaid puppy. Cass is closest to her adopted sister Jude (a dire wolf), who also gets what it's like not to fit in quite right among dogs.

-Outside of her studies, Katie works part-time as a swim instructor for children. Most parents are reluctant to surrender their tiny tots to a giant shark woman, but Katie's bubbly attitude wins most folks over quickly. It was Katie who taught Cass how to swim properly (using her hind flippers for propulsion), upon which Cass fell so in love with swimming she had to be physically dragged out of the water.

-Harp seal pups eventually shed their white fluffy coat, but for some reason, Cass never lost her puppy fluff (or grew to full adult seal size). To help combat overheating, she wears a special cooling vest. As walking around on clumsy flippers is awkward and difficult, Cass has grown into an absolutely SICK skateboarder.

-Cass and Katie share a love of anime and sushi. Katie truly has a bottomless appetite, made worse by her stress eating tendencies. Although Katie's diet is 90% seafood, when distressed she may start eating everything in sight, including silverware, textbooks, furniture, and old license plates. There is very little she cannot digest.

-Katie and Cass are roommates and live on campus. They attend the same zooniversity where Bruce studies and works as an adjunct professor.



-Katie and Cass belong to an sorority (Row Delta Weta) largely made of marine students. They unfortunately share an underwater living space with a persnickety sorority dolphin, Brooke.

-Contrasting her sweet personality, Katie is the drummer for Jude's all-carnivore grrrl group, Maul Madness.

-Most people assume Cass' name is short for Cassandra.....it's actually short for Casserole

-Due to her teeth, Katie speaks with a mild lisp.

This year I want to bring you a Christmas themed cartoon, with the beautiful family of Sebastiбn (Glamrock Freddy)
Some do not know it, but in my AU, Sebastiбn is married to Wendy (Roxanne) and both, being of different species, and not being able to have children, decided to adopt, the lucky one was Gregory.

After the events of Space Furries (Security Breach), this beautiful family was able to experience their first Christmas together with Gregory.

I think Ive drawn Medusa for Christmas every single year so I figured Id give some attention to my second all time waifu this time. Of course I would have rather had her in her armor but for the sake of making it less complicated I just did the zero suit and I like how it turned out anyway.
