Naturally, when each end up with unplanned foals rather young into their adult lives, they vow to have each other's backs in this stressful and uncertain time. Both Ditzy and Bulk were heavily bullied growing up to to their clumsiness and perceived mental shortcomings. Both Ditzy and Bulk are reasonably intelligent and capable, their brains are simply wired different, and they struggle a bit with forgetfulness, difficulty focusing, and not often being able to see the "obvious" solution to a problem. (Like this guy!) They work best with ponies willing to extend them a bit of patience, which unfortunately can be in short supply in Ponyville.

Because both ponies knew how awful it was to be presumed as stupid, they vowed to raise lil Featherweight and Dinky with utmost love and patience, and raise them in close proximity, so the foals could have a lifelong friend in each other.



3.) This is an older doodle from I series I planned to do exploring Rosemary and her struggles growing up, particularly her relationship with food. It would've explored the misery of eating disorders and unhealthy coping mechanisms, but it ended up feeling waaay too grim for MLP, so I dropped it. Here's the old notes I wrote for this drawing:

Nothin' says lovin' like somethin' from the oven!

Fluttershy was a really kind, loving, indulgent mother.......one that very much expressed love for her darling Rosie-Posie by showering her with delicious baked goods, the same way Flutters' mom did for her when she was a filly. Except maybe Flutters is a bit too indulgent, and the servings that were fine for fast-growing Featherweight and bottomless pit Bulk Biceps were a bit much for a school aged filly. Still, a cavalcade of treats always awaited Rosie after a long day at school, or at any kind of celebration, or whenever she was feeling sad. And so, very unfortunately, as Rosemary begins to associate food with comfort and love, a very unhealthy trend is born, and only worsens when Rosie hits her dreadful teen years....



4.) A very old doodle, a follower request for anti-capitalist Celestia. Dear Princess Celestia, today I learned that healthcare is a human right!



5.) an old warm up doodle feat. everybody's favorite corporate slave. Retsuko on her day off. Either she's just woken up or she's high af, take ur pick



I really like Aggretsuko, tho I dislike how the conflict is always dropped by the end of each season with everything resetting back to the status quo. Haida's crush was cute in season 1, but after 2 more seasons of watching him pine after a totally disinterested Retsuko I've pretty much lost all fondness for the character. Especially with how pushy he got with Retsuko after her trauma in season 3- I wish he'd just get a grip and accept that no means no already. I watch Aggretsuko for Retsuko, not the woman-stalking adventures of a pathetic hyena (sorry, Haida fans). :/


6.) i was a HUGE sonic fan as a kid, like full on dweeb. this doodle is old, but i thought I'd throw it in what with the new trailer for Sonic the Hedgehog 2 dropping recently and making me more hyped for a movie than I've been in years?? so yeah, sonknux is my longtime otp, my sonic is gay and trans and loves Knuckles, who is a hothead but also hella gay and very tender and sweet to his bf so long as the master emerald isn't in danger


7-8.) Some doodles I did after watching Adventure Time: Distant Lands. Loved it, cried like a weenie. Marceline and Princess Bubblegum's friendship and romance has always been so, so important to me, seeing them get their happily ever after gave me ALL the feels


9.-10.) Visual development tests for a Princess Skyla and Peachy comic I was working on. Unfortunately this year kicked my butt and I needed to put the comic on hiatus, but I'm hoping to get right back to it next year.

12.) Daedalus the Bright, royal wizard to Queen Novo, friend to Princess Luna, and deceased father of their royal highness, Artemis


notes from : Okaaaay I know looking at him one could assume he's a stuffy bookworm, little bit uptight, and socially awkward old man wizard....but I'm seeing a playful gleam in those beautiful eyes and I'm headcanoning that yes, Daedalus was wise, insightful, dedicated to his work, and could get blissfully lost in research and spells for days....but he was also hilarious (coaxing laughter out of the most serious of nobels), fun-loving, and took regular breaks away from his duties to go camping in monster invested lands or death-dive from dizzying heights. He was TINY, but his personality was huge. Maaaaybe a friend of Luna's back in their youth? Like Novo was to Celestia. Dae is mortal, but perhaps his vast magical powers extended his life by a few centuries? He was so, so sad to lose Luna to her moon but welcomed her back with open arms and picked up their friendship like no time had past at all. Luna was sad to see her little friend had aged so much more then her, but saw that his soul was as youthful and brilliant as it always was....Dae was thrilled to learn he was to become a father and had so many plans and things he wanted to do with his child....Luna was heartbroken that her dear Dae could only spend a couple brief, happy days with their newborn before that beautiful soul joined the stars at last.



13.) A doodle from an old idea I had where Vogue grows frustrated with the ineffective with the undeserved wealth and privilege of the ruling class, especially the hedonistic Duke Blueblood. Irritated that she is expected to one day inherit his estate and perpetuate the same class divide, she sets out to do something about it. And by do something about it, I mean knock back too many glasses of (virgin) daiquiris at the Grand Galloping Gala and stumble before Queen Celestia herself, calling for the dissolution of the monarchy. Power to the ponies!, Vogue shouts, sloshing her glass in front of the shocked crowd. Why does Celestia fear democracy?

Celestia has dealt with this exact thing many thousands of times during her long reign, and simply gives an amused chuckle, patting her wife Chrysalis, who is indignant at this show of insolence and poised to attack. Irie, wanting to look just as dignified and regal as her mother, offers to show this rabble-rouser to the door, and gently starts herding Vogue out of the ballroom.

Vogue, frustrated and embarrassed at being dismissed so casually, puts up a fuss. Outlining the wealth discrepancy between unicorns and non-unicorns, describing the still-rampant xenophobia against griffins and dragons and other non-pony citizens, the way Canterlot especially exploits the labor of the hard-working ponies of Equestria- but every claim fails to get a reaction from the princess. Irie merely coos at Vogue about how she needs to get home and have some water, and how theres no need to spew such tall tales for attention-

Vogue, now furious, snaps that if she wielded even a fraction of the power Iridescence held shed be ten times a better ruler, you&.y-you frivolous, spoiled little hag!

And now there is a pause. Hag&.?

The room is suddenly awash with the light and heat of a blazing solar corona, because it turns out the fastest way to piss Irie off is to call her ugly. Vogue cant do much but meep.

Iries honor as a future changeling queen cannot let this insolence go unanswered. She challenges Vogue- if theres something so terrible about the way Irie and her mothers run their country, then whats Vogue gonna do about it, huh? Flee Equestria and live on a private island somewhere, like the spoiled brat shes pretending not to be? Go join a diamond dog colony?

Vogue, trembling only slightly, quietly tells Irie what shes going to do- see Irie replaced as future queen, and have a new leader elected in.

Its not the boast Vogue hopes itd be- Iridescence just cackles in her face. Wanna play politics, little girl? Fine. Elections are nothing more than pretentious popularity contests, Irie snorts. Come up with any candidate you can- Iridescence vows to crush them.

So Vogue goes home, and spends many months concocting the perfect plan, combing Equestria for the perfect candidate, doggedly thinking of how to take down a thousand years of imperial rule. Celestia is beloved by her little ponies, perceived as Equestrias greatest defender, the queen of the harvest, the goddess of the sun. And Iridescence, even though she is the daughter of the significantly less beloved Queen Chrysalis, is still largely worshipped as Celestias divine heir. She is also in possession of powerful changeling magnetism- ponies are naturally drawn to Irie and want to please her. What is Vogue to do?

She brings candidate after candidate before Canterlot parliament. Ponies, griffons, yaks, dragons, etc- all responsible, decently-liked, and with well-drawn plans on how to better Equestria. But each and every candidate is dismissed. Canterlot nobles do not care for species diversity initiatives or magic accessibility reform or anything else promised, as it threatens to upset the status quo and endanger their profits. Vogue is thwarted every step of the way, ridiculed by the press, disavowed as an upstart, even decried as a traitor to Canterlot nobility. Irie quite enjoys watching Vogue fail&.for a while, anyway. The fun is ruined a bit when one day she sneaks and overhears Sir Fancy Pants- who up til now had been funding his daughters campaign- taking Vogue aside and informing her that while he could understand the desire to make oneself feel noble and important, this tiresome little crusade of hers is beginning to taint his reputation and try his patience. He gently urges her to give up the game, before she embarrasses herself further.

Well. It was one thing to watch Vogue stammer and spill her notecards before a crowd of nobles. Its another to watch the little idiot sniffle to herself, standing all alone in the castle corridor. This wont do.

Irie pops out of the shadows, startling Vogue out of her glasses, and asks why Vogue doesnt just run against Irie herself. One last challenge. She pokes Vogues forehead- you aint giving up now, are ya powderpuff?

some of y'all might recognize this as Princess Iridescence's original design, circa 2016. Idk, I just kinda like it, and so I decided to dig it out of the metaphorical trash can. I figure Irie, like all changelings, periodically molts her carapace, with her form often changing based on variations in ambient magic/love/light/etc. This is her Solstice Form, in which she is at her most powerful. I can't imagine how that might affect young miss Vogue.



14.) someone said these two would make cute babies so i drew this scribble

Pharynx and Blueblood are both well into middle age (Blueblood's in his fifties), and neither want more children. Pharynx considers raising Ocellus to be enough parenthood for a lifetime, and Blueblood has a lot of pent-up angst/frustration over having watched Vogue grow up from the sidelines. Additionally, changelings cannot reproduce without true love to trigger an egg cycle, and these two......have a ways to go get to being in "true love". Lots of hurdles for these two having more kids.....but I'm the writer and I can do want I want haha

Were Pharynx to spontaneously produce offspring with Blueblood, this would be a big, big, BIG scandal in Canterlot. For one, Blueblood comes from a long line of pure-blooded unicorns, and now he has "tainted" his noble family lineage with monstrous insect riffraff. Additionally, these grubs were born out of wedlock, a huge no-no among nobles, who place immense importance on clean, well-documented family trees. For a noble- especially a royal like Blueblood- to sire a child out of marriage, would be considered scandalous and low-class. Thirdly, Canterlot nobility still has a pretty stubborn undercurrent of xenophobia and homophobia, so children born to a mixed-race queer couple are gonna have a rough time among snooty rich unicorns. Also, the babies drool acid and eat everything they can fit in their mouth....BB's gonna have trouble keeping a nanny on board.

I imagine Pharynx is saying something like "If you thought changelings were good at draining love, you should see how we handle getting our child support checks."

this is all very not canon but i named the one on Blueblood's head Jewel

Me: Oh? OH? Think I'm gonna get attached to Jewel, huh? Think you know me? Think I'm gonna get attached to all three grubs? Think I'm gonna conceive a big dumb melodramatic story where Pharynx gets sick and tired of him and the babies getting treated like Blueblood's dirty little secret? And threatens to leave forever? Prompting Blueblood to choose between his precious privilege/reputation and his newfound family? And possibly have dramatic declarations of love in the rain? And reckless kisses? With Blueblood then proudly officially announcing his family to the shocked nobles? Which maybe impresses Vogue a little? Who is then happy to meet her little sibbies? You think I've already thought about all that, huh? Think I'm so predictable? Well you're WRONG
