This is one of the drawings I made whilst being camping at the Mьritz this year. We had a great stay. Had more wind to surf than in the past two years combined and it was great. I learned a lot concerning the jibe maneuver c: now all that's left is applying that to stronger winds as well because as soon as it's blowing with more than 5bft I'm nautically disabled xD But maybe that's just because of the size of my sail. I'm currently using a 5.6mІ sail and plan on getting a smaller one along the lines of 4.3-4.6mІ for winds of 5bft and up.
Enough windsurf talk though. We had really cold nights but I had three blankets to keep me warm so I wasn't bothered much by it, except for when I had to go to the toilet at night. Because crawling out of a warm sleeping back to go into the woods in 4°C is no real joy xD

Anyway. Yeah this drawing is obviously inspired by the lake I was staying at. I would have colored it but I noticed that I would have to change a lot for it to actually look realistic as the water is somehow not plain but a hill instead? Can't be bothered to redraw it. Can't even be bothered to fix it with the liquify tool so it's bound to stay black and white. Sorry. I like the idea though maybe I'll draw a similar painting someday just for the sake of practise c:

Animated timelapse GIF of some photos I took of the lunar eclipse (blood moon) on 28th September 2015. I wanted to take pictures of the whole spectacle every 10 minutes from beginning till the end, but at 5am (luckily a few minutes after the peak of the eclipse...) mist showed up in front of the moon, so that I couldn't take good photos anymore (until the full moon showed up again at 6:27). Of course I used the same white balance for everything, by the way.
Usually I upload drawings on this account, but the scientist in me just could't resist! And it was worth it to stay up that long. I only had some problems in finding the right dA subfolder. "Digital Art > Animation" sounds strange?

Tools: Canon EOS 600D (= EOS Rebel T3i) + Canon EF-S 55-250mm, Canon RS60-E3 (remote switch) and a very cheap tripod

When I first saw this old cabin, I thought it just screamed "American west!" with its look & feel. I was pretty over the moon about it and very excited to be able to photograph it. I loved the atmosphere which was presented with the snow covering the mountains and a fresh storm beginning to roll in over the West Elks. To get the shot I photographed it in HDR and backed it up with a Grad ND and a CPL.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
