This is an old footbridge across Boatman Creek at the far eastern end of the Callaghan campus of the University of Newcastle. It connects the campus to the grounds of an electricity substation in Lorna Street in Waratah West. The bridge is due for demolition due to safety concerns. A newer (shared path) bridge has been recently constructed 100 metres to the south, along the path of a disused railway.

Nearly there. Hunter wants to jump in and swim the rest of the way; I have to keep telling him not yet. He hasn't fully recovered all his strength after the spinal surgery, and I don't trust his swimming completely yet.
