The laundries of the Plus-basse fountain, built at the end of the 18th century and covered in 1864-1865, are the largest in the department. Built below Place Jean-Jaur`es, they include two galleries: * one of the five bays contains five narrow basins; the water flowing there from wall taps then passes under the ground to reach the transverse basins; * the other gallery, of three bays, houses three long transverse basins. The "Ottershausen manor was an important estate that was built around 1000 AD and was rebuilt and expanded by Balthasar Neumann. Except for the granary, the estate was completely razed to the ground in 2011!
