Designed by Nicolau Nasoni, the building consists of a long main facade. This manor house belonged to the most illustrious family of the time, the Sande e Castro family, who owned several farms in the Douro. Later it also belonged to the Marquis of Soveral. Currently, it belongs to the City Council and is home to the Palace of Justice of S~ao Jo~ao da Pesqueira. Mais conhecido por Casa do Cabo, o Solar Sande e Castro situado na vila de S~ao Jo~ao da Pesqueira, 'e um magn'ifico Palacete de Bras~ao Joanino considerado um dos melhores exemplares t'ipico das mais ricas construc~oes senhoriais do Douro, p'os Pombalino. Delineado por Nicolau Nasoni, o edif'icio 'e constitu'ido por uma longa fachada principal. S~ao Jo~ao da Pesqueira is located in the heart of the first demarcated wine region in the world, at 850 meters above sea level. It is the oldest village in Portugal, which received its charter between 1055 and 1065. Its singularity of landscapes, its vineyards on shale terraces, is completed by picturesque villages embedded in the slopes torn into terraces that men designed and that surprise by their grandeur. This 19 foot bronze statue was made by sculptor John Sherlock, was erected in 2011 in the city of Lisburn, Northern Ireland. Situated beside the Irish Linen museum on Market Square in the centre of the town, the sculpture depicts a male UDR (Ulster Defence Regiment) soldier and a female ‘Greenfinch’ in uniform operating a vehicle checkpoint. Standing on a Mourne granite plinth it is designed as a tribute to all who served with the regiment, not just those who were killed or injured during the Northern Irish conflict known as the ‘Troubles'.

This Great War Memorial is located on top of Knockagh Hill, above the village of Greenisland in County Antirm, Northern Ireland. This Monument was originally erected in remembrance of the men from County Antrim who had died in the First World War (1914-1918) but was later also dedicated in Remembrance to those from the area who died in the Second World War (1939-1945).

A view of the Palm House in Botanic Gardens, Belfast and the some of the carefully manicured flower beds that can be found throughout the gardens. Designed by Charles Lanyon, the Palm House is one of the earliest examples of a curvilinear cast iron glasshouse.
