The Tacoma Narrows Bridges replaced the original Bridge, nicknamed Galloping Gertie after it's collapse in a windstorm in 1940. The first replacement was built in 1950 and designed to withstand the heavy winds that pass through the Narrows. The second bridge was completed in 2007. This image was taken from Titlow Beach in Tacoma Washington.
